"K-K-Kyurem!" I stammered, taking a step back.

"Told you..." Cilan muttered.

"For a goth girl, you sure get scared easily," Iris said. "Ash... what do we do?"

"Just stay calm," he told us.

"This is a Pokemon said to eat children," Iris retorted. "I'm finding it very hard to remain calm!"

We stayed still for a bit, but then they all pushed me forward, and I was inches away from Kyurem's face as he leaned down angrily.

"Uh, hey," I said nervously, waving awkwardly as Snivy climbed down to my shoulder. "Sorry to disturb you, but we were wondering if we could get those Pokeballs behind you?"

I got nothing but blank stares, his icy breath falling onto the top of my head.

"We really need them back," I said, avoiding looking into his dark eyes. "There's a whole town that needs them and I think it'd be great if-"

He butted his head, throwing me against the cave wall. I burst into tears from fear and pain, struggling to get up. Snivy nuzzled my cheek.

"You can't persuade him, Lillianna!" Cilan yelled. "He's an evil, evil Pokemon!"

"I'm going to kill you..." Kyurem told me telepathically, aiming his wing at me.

I grabbed Snivy and jumped out of the way as Kyurem shot icicles at me. Iris, Ash, and Cilan stood there, gasping in horror.

"Help me!" I pleaded, out of breath.

"Pikachu!" Ash said, pointing at Kyurem. "Use Quick Attack!"

Pikachu did as Ash commanded, hitting Kyurem in the side of the head before he could headbutt me again. Kyurem was thrown off course, roaring with rage.

"Quick!" Ash yelled. "Electroball!"

Again, Pikachu obeyed, but Kyurem was no more than stunned.

"It did nothing," Iris gaped. "Now what?"

Snivy exclaimed loudly, jumping up and running to Kyurem.

"Snivy, no!" I cried.

He executed a perfect Leaf Blade against Kyurem's leg, but Kyurem simply kicked him away.

"Snivy!" we all gasped. He got back on his feet, breathing heavily. He gritted his teeth, standing off with Kyurem and letting out a battle cry. He charged at Kyurem, using Tackle, and latching himself onto Kyurem's neck. Kyurem ran and swung his neck, sweeping my feet out from under me. Snivy was thrown off, landing next to me.

"There's no way we're gonna beat him," I whispered to Snivy, who was barely conscious. "We need a better strategy..." I eagerly looked around as Kyurem got his bearings. I spotted the net full of Pokemon cheering us on. "The net!" I loudly whispered, petting Snivy reassuringly. "Use Leaf Blade and release the Pokemon! You'll save us both! I know you can do-"

Kyurem had stood up, towering over me and grabbing me in one of his small arms and slamming me into the cave wall again before holding me against it by my throat.

Snivy was already at the net, letting the Pokemon out. Cilan and Iris were reunited with their Pokemon before pointing them in the direction of Kyurem.

"Dragon Rage!" Iris called to Axew. Pansage was already nailing hits to Kyurem's core, making him drop me.

I watched some Lillipups, Mincchinos, a Machamp and a Togepi run to Kyurem, along with other Pokemon, all of them preparing for battle. Kyurem kicked the Pokemon away in pairs, but they all got back up to keep fighting. Snivy trudged back to me, flopping onto his belly and going unconscious.
