The blinding light turned into normal sunlight, and I blinked in surprise to find myself in front of a huge school. Cherry blossoms lined the paved walkways, and a bell was chiming loudly. Kids my age rushed indoors, implying class would soon be starting. All the girls had on fancy yellow dresses and the boys wore light blue suits.

"Ouran Academy," I breathed in awe. I suddenly felt really out of place in my black attire and eyeliner, platform boots and sidecut. I wanted to hide, but I followed all of the other students inside.

The lack of adults were custom in this academy, and I spent my time looking for the Host Club, as I figured I would have to be around them to find the key. I didn't do well in big and unfamiliar areas so I nervously roamed the halls, peeking in at every classroom I passed.

Before long, the first period was over and students filled the halls. I received many looks from them, and they all whispered to each other about my outfit or my hair or my colored contacts. I fled, not liking that kind of attention, and bursting into a janitor's closet.

I immediately had doubts. "How can I save two worlds, when I can't even handle being looked at?" I wondered. I took a moment to breathe, waiting for the students to go to their next class.

"What are you doing in your free period?" I heard a female voice ask.

"Go see the Host Club of course!" another answered, followed by a series of high pitched giggles. I knew I had to follow them, and that's what I did.

They led me to a sparkling glass double door. I opened the door, peaking my head inside.

"Welcome!" several voices chimed. I looked towards none other than the members of the Host Club themselves. I was starstruck, almost as much as they were to see an unflattering goth stand before them. However, the hosts did their duties.

"You're just in time!" Hunny squealed, throwing Bun-Bun in the air above his head excitedly. "We are about to play a game!"

I nodded, unsure of what to do and just standing off to the side.

Tamaki stood, brushing his blonde hair away from his eyes and doing that weird lover boy pose he always does as he clinked his spoon on his tea cup.

"Shall we begin?" he asked, calling the attention of the ladies in the room. The giggling quickly stopped as all eyes turned to him, the girls scrambling to the seat nearest to Tamaki. I stood next to the door, wanting to just leave. "Today," Tamaki announced, his eyes sparkling. "one lucky lady will receive something of mine." The room erupted in shrieks and pleads, making me want to punch one of the annoyances in the face.

"Please settle down, ladies," Kyoya asked, not taking his eyes off of me. I ignored him.

"I awoke this morning," Tamaki continued, prancing around the room. "and my dearest Antoinette had brought me a gift she found in my yard. It is quite lovely, like myself-"

"I want it, Senpai!" a uniformed girl squealed.

"Wait your turn, my sweet," Tamaki said sweetly, scooping up the girl and caressing her cheek, which sent her swooning and laying on the floor. He turned towards everyone, trying to finish.

"It is no use to me," he sighed, walking over to something covered in a little blue sheet on an elegant stand. "But I have laid it in my hands, and I know a few lovelies who would like to have it." He unveiled the item with a swoosh. Being shorter than everyone there, I stood on my tiptoes to see a sparkling golden key in a glass case.

"Now," he said, posing as he does. "Who would like it?"

My ears throbbed as all of the girls jumped up, begging to have their hands touching something Tamaki's once did. They screamed and begged, shoving each other over. Tamaki smiled brightly, looking around the room. Kyoya briskly walked to his side, whispering something in his ear. I knew I was in trouble when Tamaki's eyes found me.

"You there!" he called, walking through the fangirling ladies to stand in front of me. "What is your name?"

"Lillianna," I muttered, looking down at my feet.

"Such a pretty name," he said, cupping my chin and making me look him in the eyes. "Would you like this key?"

I blushed, despite not even liking Tamaki that much. "Yes."

"Very well," he said, letting me go and snapping his fingers. "I'd like all of the ladies aside from Lillianna to exit."

The girls booed and cried, but left, some of them dragging their friends who had fainted.

"Who are you really?" Kyoya pried once the room was empty of other women. "Where did you transfer from? What are you doing here?"

"I..." I froze. "Uh.."

"Don't scare her, guys," Haruhi requested, cleaning up teacups.

"Doesn't matter," Tamaki said, standing by the window and somehow being covered in falling cherry blossom petals. "She'd like the key, and we must provide. Why did you pick her, Kyoya?"

"Look at her," he scoffed, walking around me and pointing out everything different about my appearance.

"He's right!" Hunny chimed from atop Mori's shoulders. "You're scary!"

Hikaru and Kaoru bounded to me, arm in arm and carrying a boys uniform.

"Oh no!" I shrieked in protest. "Absolutely not!"

"We can't trust you with this key so easily," Kyoya explained. "You have to earn it. You must stay here and work as a host-" I interrupted with a whine, and Kyoya cleared his throat. "We are hosting a ball tomorrow. Work then. Do a good job and this key is yours."

"It's not so bad," Haruhi assured me.

I sighed, knowing I had to. The twins escorted me into a dressing room to make sure the uniform fit.

"Great!" Hunny giggled. "See you tomorrow!"
