Okay first off, I know the main characters "name" is "you", but that will be super confusing to write so I'm gonna call him Yu.
You were finally outside. After months of being in that stuffy apartment.
"Look, Yu!" You exclaimed, pointed towards a run down supermarket off to the left.
Yu nodded. It was hard to tell what he was thinking, since the white mask covered half of his face. The both of you entered quietly. Yu grabbed your arm tightly, gesturing to a corner of the small store. It was one of those things. They were everywhere. You both had guns, but preferred not to shoot the things since they were once human.
The both of you snuck around a few mostly empty shelves, avoiding the monster. Once at the other end of the building, you saw a few boxes full of various supplies.
You and Yu both gathered as much as you could, then headed back to your apartment.
You put the things you found in the small refrigerator, then threw yourself on the old tattered bed.
"You think one day, all of this will be over?" You whisper. Yu sat down beside you.
"I hope so. We're together, that's all that matters." Came his muffled response.
"Yeah." You smiled.
