(word count: like 1,300 without all this)

I took the pistol and I shot out all the lights.
I started running in the middle of the night.

Bucky rested in a cryogenic sleep, holed up in a large tube set up in a room that doctors often visited. He had swore to remain there until they figured out how to remove HYDRA's manipulation to his screwed up mind. The only ones to visit him while dormant was Steve, of course, and Wanda Maximoff. She often spoke aloud about her brother around the frozen, dozing soldier. And if she was being honest, it actually calmed her down when she did.

It was a long, thought out process for the doctors. Then finally after the year had passed, one doctor had a breakthrough. Steve was the first to hear it. He had shouted and cried with joy. His Bucky would finally be coming back to him. Although therein lies the problem with him still being a wanted man, by Stark especially.

The Captain and doctors with aprons tied 'round their waists circled around the glass tube. Bucky lay peacefully, his long brown hair at the side of his head, a content look on his face - all frozen in time so he wouldn't hurt another soul - him having wanted to be contained. A wise choice, Steve had thought.
A man with striking blue eyes stood by a control table, his finger moving to press a small button. Air hissed as the airlock to the chamber loosened its grip, the glass rising up to release clouds of smoke. When the tube fully opened, all became quiet once more as the hot air in the room surrounded Bucky's crystallized state. The doctors moved his body to a table and Steve smiled down at the man, his chest filling with a warm sensation. "Welcome back, buddy."

Wanda had isolated herself to her room that morning, her stomach in knots, feeling dread for something yet to happen. Transparent shards of the glass from the window soared around the room, waves of vibrant Crimson tendrils spinning around each other. Slender fingers maneuvered themselves around as the aura fell off her like smoke from a burning fire. The Witch watched the pieces floating around inside the hands of her mystical magic and as quick as a thought passing, she sent them hurtling out the empty windowpane and into the trees sitting beside her room.

An alarm went off inside the compound and in the crack underneath her door she saw a flashing red light. Her stomach churned with the feeling of dread once more but she forced the fear down her throat and exited the large room. With eyes as red as blood, Wanda snatched thoughts from the people scrambling through the hall around her.

Intruders.

The soldier is awake.

An earthquake.

Many assumptions but any could've been the real reason for the ear-piercing alarm. Wanda strode forward, shoving those away who were struggling before her. She soon found herself following a feeling in her gut and realized where she was headed - Bucky's room. Wanda stepped inside and to her surprise, bodies lay unconscious on the ground, all wearing aprons and masks. Bucky's doctors. Steve was no where to be seen yet Wanda knew exactly where he was. She left the room, running down the halls as fast as she could go. This was Bucky's doing, wether she wanted to admit it or not. With brunette locks swatting her face, she entered a stairwell and headed up the steps. She reached a door, her hands threw forward and shoved it open, stepping out onto the tower's balcony.

The law ain't never been a friend of mine,
I would kill again to keep from doing time
You should never ever trust my kind

Feet away from the girl, Bucky was gearing up to send a punch at Steve's face with his metal arm. Wanda lifted her hands and concentrated on Bucky's hand. Sparks of scarlet wisps formed at the end of the fingertips and she thrust her arms outward, directing the strands of smoke to wrap themselves around the unbreakable silver metal, yanking it from Steve's direction causing Bucky to stumble in shock. Wanda released her grip on him and let out a long breath before straightening her shoulders and walking toward the man.
As she neared him, she noticed his eyes - cold and lifeless, face wiped of emotion. Something must have went wrong with the cryogenic sleep, made his mind empty once more. Or someone had gotten to him at the exact moment of his awakening.

Steve lay motionless on the ground, his face bloodied and bruised by his best friends hand. Wanda glanced at the Captain to make sure he was alive and saw his chest moving up and down slowly. Relief flooded into her own chest, but fear squeezed the feeling from her body again as she neared Bucky. "Surrender, Winter Soldier, and no harm will come to you." Wanda spoke, her own words leaving a foreign taste inside her mouth. She didn't want to hurt him. He chose to ignore her words.
With a grunt from Bucky, Wanda watched the metal arm direct itself to her face and stepped back with one quick moment as the hand missed her by an inch. "This isn't you," she continued, trying to snap him from this unpleasant personality. Taking her off guard, he swung again and this time managed to backhand her.

The impact from the vibranium metal sent her soaring backward on the roof. She landed roughly on the concreted flooring on her shoulder, pain erupting inside it causing a cry to escape past her enclosed lips. The Witch turned her body, blinking a couple times to keep herself from falling unconscious due to the pain. She used her good arm to push her body to stand as the man moved forward to her once again. Standing, Wanda now realized her shoulder had been dislocated, causing her to feel dizzy. She forced the pain away for now and focused all her energy on Bucky. "Listen to me, this isn't you." Wanda spoke but the words went right over his head. As he stood in front of The Witch, she produced a ball of sparkling Crimson energy and reached up to touch his head. Before the fingertips could reach his tanned skin, his cybernetic fingers closed around her hand, extinguishing the energy like flames.

The hand of flesh went to her neck, pressing down onto her windpipe and cutting off the flow of air. Her vision blurred by tears and lack of oxygen while her body trembled, feeling it slowly become numb from her toes to her head. Her red energy sparked, attempting to free itself from the clutches of his hand.
Gunshots went off all around the pair and Wanda felt air return to her lungs as Bucky dropped her to the ground. Sweat laced her forehead and the palms of her hands, her eyes shutting while she struggled to breathe.

I'm a wanted man.
I've got blood on my hands.
Do you understand?
I'm a wanted man.

After a long moment with loud noises echoing in her ears, the weak girl's body was lifted into a pair of arms. And although she was numb, she could feel the cool metal touching her bare back where the shirt had risen just a bit. Wanda tore her eyelids apart, seeing Bucky's blurred face. "What-what are you doing with me?" Her voice came out hoarse and scratched, just talking practically killed her throat with pain. She winced, her body tense as her thoughts swarmed into a puddle of mush. She couldn't see where he was taking her but a few minutes later her surroundings became familiar when he went out to the airplane launch site.

Bucky sat Wanda in a seat on a plane, looking down at her dislocated arm. Without a moment to warn her, he grabbed the shoulder and snapped it back into place. Wanda felt a bubble rise in her throat, a scream emitting from it as tears streamed out of her eyes. Bucky watched her for a moment as if deep in thought then walked over to the pilot's seat and sat down, I readying for takeoff. The girl's world became black, losing consciousness due to the pain.

The Winter Soldier flipped switches, pushed buttons, then grabbed the stick and the plane flew away from the large building with a lurch, his mind void once again.

If you ask me to change,
I don't know, if I can.
I'll always be, who I am.

(so.. yep :) there's more than one part, idk how many there will actually be but probably like three or four if I can get the parts longer ¯\_()_/¯ )
