****If you are uncomfortable about this stuff, there is the beginning of/a rape scene in this chapter****
In all honesty, for the bad guys; it was a horrible idea to let Clint and Wanda share a room. Even if just for one night. That was all they needed in order to come up with a plan. Maybe that's what the bad guys wanted, maybe not. All they knew was they had to get out of there.
Wanda informed Clint of how she had managed to do something with her abilities, and that brought hope in his eyes.
The new metal arm had been like a bullet to his chest, and he wondered if that was all the upgrades he had received, hoped it was. He played it off like the loss of his bow arm didn't faze him, but it made his heart literally ache when he thought about it too much.
By the time they were separated from each other, their plan was already in motion.
They were going to escape, no matter what.
Clint allowed the two men who barged into the room grab his real, and fake arms, and drag him out of the room into a long dimly lit hallway. At the end of it he could see a woman, standing in a doorway dressed in a white lab coat. She looks only slightly evil, Clint noted as he was dragged closer and closer to her. With slight of hand, he easily grabbed one of the guard's key cards and clenched it tight in his hand to hide from view.
The woman in front of them stepped to the side and he was thrown into the room, the door slamming shut behind him. The woman in the coat looked through a small window and jotted down a thing or two in a notebook she had picked up before walking away.
The man rolled his eyes and scanned the room for anything he could use as a weapon. There was a small, metal bedside table that he flipped over and used his metal arm to yank a leg out. He looked it over and gripped it tight, testing its durability. Satisfied with the results, he tore another leg off and headed to the door to examine the key pads. He lifted the card and slid it through, letting it beep and unlatch before swinging it open with a sly grin.
Relaxing onto her cot in the little cell, Wanda nervously awaited James' presence. All she needed was for him to join her in the room and then she could activate the plan. It was stressful, to say the least. Everything was relying on her to be able to free her own bonds, and as she stared at the hunk of metal, her nerves worsened.
Face hidden from the single camera, Wanda clenched her teeth and focused every little bit of energy she could muster on her hands. A tingling sensation fired up inside her toes and ears, tickling her ever so slightly. She squeezed her eyes shut, her teeth gritting together. She could feel a spark ignite along the edge of the metal that wrapped her hands. The spark grew to a small sphere of energy, burning and spraying flecks of hot energy all around. She imagined it touching the metal, tilting her head to the side in concentration as she felt it heat up around her hands.
It was working!
The door slammed open, but it was some guy instead of James like she was used to. Her eyes shot open, causing the energy to die down but not completely disappear. She tried to focus on it once more but the man charged at her with a baton in his hand, leaving the door wide open behind him. The energy went out completely and Wanda stood to fight the man. He swung at her head which she dodged quite easily, but then he caught her off guard and swung it at her chest. The stick smacked her upper torso while his boot wrapped around her leg and yanked, sending her to the ground. Pain flared up in her chest area and she gasped in a breath.
Wanda tried to stand but the man grabbed her restrained hands and pinned them to the ground above her head. She tried to thrash around and kick him off but he propped his knee onto her chest, letting all his weight keep her down, and sent her a wicked smile. "Can't beat me, Princess." Using one hand to keep her arms in place, he let the other hand find its way to her plain t-shirt. He trailed his fingers down her collarbone, nearing the opening of her shirt above her breasts. She cried out, trying her hardest to break out of the grip he had her in.
