"Wake up! Blake wake up!" Blake's older brother barged into his room.

"What Leon?" Blake groaned.

"Mark, you know, Mark Rapid? Yeah, well, he was murdered last night." Leon stated.

Blake had brown hair which was usually swept over to the side. He had blue eyes.

Leon had black hair and brown eyes. He had a round face.

"What?! Are you sure?!" Blake questioned. Leon nodded. Blake reached over to his nightstand and grabbed his phone. He had received many text messages stating how Mark was murdered. Some said that he was gutted. Others said his throat was sliced open from ear to ear. Blake stared at the messages.

"I can't believe that Mark was murdered." Blake said. It was all so surreal.

"Wanna know something else?" Leon asked. Blake looked at him. "The killer snapchatted him before he went in for the kill."

"That's kinda like a-" Blake started.

"Like a movie, I know." Leon interrupted. "Well, you better get ready. The bus will be here in 5 minutes."

"That's okay, Katy is picking me up." Blake yelled back. Leon nodded, laughing, as he left the room. Blake shot up from his bed and ran over to his closet. He threw on the first articles of clothes he saw. He grabbed his phone and backpack, and ran down the stairs.

"Bye Blake! Bye Leon!" Their father yelled to them. Blake looked in his backpack and pulled out a piece of gum. He put it in his mouth and started to chew.

Blake lived in a small town called Springwood in Arizona. Everyone knew everyone. It was very peaceful and Blake liked the town very much.

"Bye Dad." Blake said as he walked out the front door. Blake walked across the front yard as Katy's car came around the corner. He waved as the car slowed down. Blake looked in the passenger seat and saw that their other friend, Zack, was sitting there. Blake smiled and waved at him. He did the same. Blake got in the passenger side where their other friend, Hazel, was sitting.

Hazel smiled, "Hey Blake." Blake smiled back. She put her brown curly hair over her shoulder. Her skin was a very pretty shade of brown.

"Did you guys hear about Mark Rapid?" Katy said as she started driving.

Katy had blonde hair and bangs that met her eyebrows. She had blue eyes.

"Yeah, crazy," Zack said, "Did you guys know him well?" They all murmured no.

Zack had blonde hair and brown eyes. He was a little short, but almost average for his age. They were all 16 in Junior year of high school.

"You guys wanna hang at my house after school?" Hazel asked.

"Sure," Katy said. Blake and Zack nodded.

They soon arrived at the high school. They saw a lot of police cars and news reporters.

"Wow, everything spreads so fast," Zack said. Katy pulled into the parking lot and they all got out. They walked towards the school. Blake fixed his hair and winked at a camera. Hazel rolled her eyes.
