A/N: Ideas were flowing! [:
Woohoo! This is a lot longer than my first chapter. I think I should write a prologue... The first one would make more sense.
Anywho, enjoy.
My body had tensed, making jumping at the sound a painful move. I turned my head to the source and it was only a branch moved by the wind. I chuckled at myself as I brushed my hands through my hair. I liked my hair. It made me feel pretty. It was long and very wavy. I never had to dye it, it was already a perfect mix of red, black and brown. I smiled while I twirled my fingers in the soft waves remembering the good ole days.
We were at the beach. I was three. I was afraid of the waves. My mother comforted me as I cried my eyes out. When I had finally finished crying, I was laughing. Running up to and away from the frothy sea water. I ran up to my father, hugging and kissing him. I loved him. I was a daddy's girl. I was happy and care free...
I snapped back to reality when I felt a tear hit my hand. I reached for my cheeks and felt the wetness. I sadly sighed, wishing that things could go back to the way they used to be. The way things were before my father had turned into a psychotic asshole.
The question of why my mom left came back, causing new tears to follow the path of the previous ones. She didn't even tell me goodbye. One morning she was just gone...
I wiped my eyes, sensing something outside. I turned my head to my left once again and saw a dark silhouette. I squinted, trying to focus, but failed. My contacts were too dry. Which is ironic because I had been crying. After a few more moments of trying to make out the figure, I let out a defeated huff. I laid my head against the head rest and continued to stare at the figure. Maybe it was a trick of light or something, but it looked like he had gotten closer. Before I knew it, he was knocking on my window.
He couldn't have seen me in here crying, could he? I mean, I have tinted windows so how could he know someone was in here?
Cautiously, I turned the key so I could lower my window. My eyes were met with a beautiful pair of green eyes. I could feel myself getting lost in them. His voice was heavenly, gently bringing me back.
"Are you alright, miss?" He asked, a concerned look on his face. I looked at him shyly and nodded slowly, wondering why he had been watching me. "Oh, good. I was just wondering 'cause you've been parked there for awhile." I turned my eyes to the clock on the dashboard. Holy hell! I've been here for more than two hours.
"Uhm.. Have you been watching me this whole time or something?" I asked, a little bit of fright in my voice. All he did was chuckle.
"Oh, of course not. I was walking my dog, and after I had walked around for awhile and still saw you here, I thought something was wrong. Well... Either that or that some couple was messing around. I'm glad it was the first thing I thought." He laughed nervously, probably because of his long reason. I couldn't help but smile.
"Heh, well thank you for your concern. My name is Delilah." I smiled holding out my hand. My eyes traced the details of his face. He had a slender face with a jaw that came into a round point. His nose was long and narrow, matching the rest of his features. He caught me staring and let out a soft chuckle.
"Do I have something on my face, or are you just checking me out?" He grinned. His smile made me swoon and my heart beat faster. His smile was contagious, causing me to smile.
"What if I say I was?" I asked coyly, biting my lower lip. I seemed so cool on the outside, but my stomach was filled with butterflies. I felt like my face was getting hot.
"How about you get out of that car so you can tell me without having something to hide behind?"
"I'm not getting out. You're a stranger! And I don't do things for strangers." I teased.
