My body tensed like a rock after quickly locking my car doors. I fumbled for my phone, my hands shaking. No, no, no. He left over a year ago. He can't be back. He can't be following me! Oh, God... What if he saw me with Nathan? What if he tries to hurt him?! I don't need that on my conscience again. I felt tears flowing down my cheeks as I tried to repress those memories.

My hands continued to shake as I dialed Lindsay's number. I bounced my legs with nervous impatience. "Come on... Pick up... PICK UP!" I screamed, fear laced in my voice.

"Hey! Where are you?!" Linds screamed teasingly.

"Get back to your car and we'll go back to your house! He's watching us!" I tried to sound a little more stable than I actually was. Failing horribly, I knew that my voice was dripping with hysteria.

"Deli, what do you mean?" I could tell she was confused, but I was too scared for her to explain while she was exposed.

"Just get in the fucking car! I'll tell you back at the house!" I was angry. I didn't want anything to happen to my best friend. I didn't want her hurt. She agreed, obviously confused as I heard her start her engine and back out. I bit of relief filled me as I followed behind her to her house, anxiously checking my rear view mirror for anything suspicious. I could feel my body slowly relax when I saw that no one had been following. But that still didn't stop the thoughts invading the safe haven in my mind.

Why did he decide to come back now? Now, of all times? He already destroyed my life, so why would he need to do it again?

Questions about his return were infused in every brain cell, horror taking over my body and tears falling down my cheeks. My body began to shake violently remembering what he had done to me and my friends. He gave a whole new definition to crazy, possessive, jealous ex-boyfriend. Every element of it taken to the extreme.

By the time I had pulled up next to Lindsay's house, I was fearing for my life. I heard a door slam and saw Lindsay sprinting to my door. She banged on my window, demanding that I open. I quickly wiped my tears while trying to slow my breathing before opening my door.

"What happened?! Delilah are you okay?! Speak to me! Oh, my God what's wrong with you? You're shaking! Come on! Come inside!" She spoke quickly as she dragged me inside her house. I had barely even understood a word she was saying. She was just this babbling blur to me. I closed my eyes trying to focus on her words, but two words were burning behind my closed lids.

"He's Back."

I felt my head become light and my body go limp as I slipped into darkness.
