Calum's POV

"Luke!" I whined. He glanced up from his phone before looking back at it. "What?" He sighed. "I'm bored."

"Go tell Ashton." I groaned and went to find Ashton. "Ashton!"

"Kitchen!" I skipped to the kitchen where Ashton stood, eating Nutella. "Wanna go do something? I'm bored."

"I was planning on going to pick up some more drumsticks, if you'd like to join." He shrugged. "Please! I may go crazy if I don't get out of here!"

"Alright, alright! Go ask Luke and Michael if they want to join. Then we'll go." He laughed. "But Luke's being a jerk, and Mikey's asleep!"

"Am not!"

"Shut up! I'm trying to sleep!"

I pouted, "See?" He only chuckled, "Come on. It'll just be us then."

"Let's go!" I bolted out the door, hearing his laughter behind me.

"Ash! Look at the turtles!" I said as we passed the pet store. "Cute." He smiled, continuing to walk towards the music store.

I saw the kittens beside the turtles and wondered why on earth these two animals would be placed even remotely close to each other.

I looked over towards Ashton to see him through the music store window, looking at drumsticks. I'll only look for a minute.

I snuck into the pet store, just casually looking at the rows of animals. "Excuse me, Sir. Can I help you?"

I turned around to face the redheaded girl. "Uh... oh. No. I was just-uh...looking. Yeah, looking." I stuttered.

"Okay then." She smiled. She then turned to walk away. "Wait! Miss?" I stopped her. She turned around, "Yes?"

"Why is this puppy by itself?" I asked, pointing to a black lab who was in a cage by himself. "Oh, that's Lucky. We named him that 'cause he's one lucky puppy to have survived. His owner was abusive, and when we found Lucky, he had been shot. Luckily, it was only his leg. Poor pup. He only has a few more days until he can be up for grabs."

"Calum! What are you doing?" Ashton asked, walking into the shop. "Save him for me. I need to have a talk with my ban- uh... roommates."

"Will do." She smiled. "Oh, and what might be your name, Pretty Lady?" I asked. She giggled, "I'm Elle."

"Elle." I nodded, "Nice name." I then ran back to Ashton. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Looking at the animals, duh. Now, come on! I wanna see if Game Stop has any new games for Mikey!"

"Mikey!" I called, running to his and Luke's room. "What?" He yawned. I jumped on him, making him groan. "I got Black Ops 2 for you!"

He chuckled, "Cal, I already have Black Ops 2."

"Told you!" Ashton exclaimed from the other room. I pouted and saw Michael's face soften, "But thanks." He smiled, "The other one's kind of scratched anyways. I needed a new one."

I smiled. I know he lied, but the fact he lied to make me feel better... made me feel better.

"Get up! It's two in the afternoon!" I yelled, causing him to laughed. "I'm up! I'm up! Get off!"

I bounce out of the room, satisfied with myself. Nobody can get Michael up.

I then ran to the living room, jumping on Luke's lap, "I got you something, too." I held up the stuffed penguin. "Thanks, Cal. Sorry for being "mean" earlier." He said, ruffling my hair. "Watch it." I warned. "But it's okay."
