Incarceration

Tatiana was still flying the jet.

Alec walked closer. "You sure do know how to handle big jets."

Tatiana smirked. "Yeah. My dad taught me."

Alec looked somber, taking a seat in the co-pilot's seat next to her. "What's gonna happen to your friends? Your father?"

Tatiana didn't know how to answer because she didn't know, sighing, shaking her head. "Whatever it is, we'll deal with it."

"I don't know if I'm worth all this," Alec told her

Tatiana sighed. "What you did all those years... it wasn't you. You didn't have a choice."

"I know," Alec told her. "But I did it."

"I get it," Tatiana told him. 

"You got through to your mom by asking if it was you or your sister," Alec told her. "What happened?"

Tatiana sighed. "My mother was pregnant with me and Ana... when Hydra took her. They took a lot of pregnant woman to turn into warriors..."

"So that they could raise their children to be perfect warriors," Alec finished. "Yeah."

"Ana and I were six years old when our dad and S.H.I.E.L.D saved us," Tatiana told him. "So, yeah... I get it."

"Well, at least I know one why to pay you back," Alec told her. Tatiana looked at him curiously. Alec tilted his head slightly, using her words from chapter 'Homecoming' when they had fought because Alec had been under Zemo's control. "I could at least recognize you."

Tatiana remembered the words, looking down, chuckling. "So you remember the time you tried to kill me, huh?"

"Both times, actually," Alec answered. "My bad." Tatiana smiled a small smile. "I'm sorry."

Tatiana shook her head. "You have nothing to be sorry for."

"Most people would argue that," Alec told her.

Tatiana tilted her head in acknowledgement, looking at Alec. "I'm not most people."

Alec looked at Tatiana, meeting her gaze.

Tatiana smiled a small, reassuring smile, looking away, continuing to fly the jet through the sky.

Alec looked away thoughtfully.

Rhodey was in a hospital, conscious, being rolled into an MRI.

Vision, Tony and Jax were watching from the hallway.

Tony and Jax weren't suited up.

"How did this happen?" Tony asked.

"I became distracted," Vision answered.

Jax scoffed. "I didn't think that was possible."

"Neither did I," Vision told them.

They watched Rhodey worriedly.

Vision felt guilty.

Natasha and Ana were talking in the hallway.

"The doctor said he shattered L4 to S1," Ana told her. "Extreme laceration in the spinal cord. Probably looking at some form of paralysis."

"They're not going to stop," Natasha told her. "If we don't rein in, then Rhodey is going to be the best case scenario."
