Her Problems (STEPH)

This is a filler-ish chapter. A little bit of backstory for Steph. I'll do Ena's next.

Steph, Gaul and the Genoise were sleeping in the extra guest room for tonight. Steph sighed, sitting next to Gaul on the bed. "What's up?" Gaul asked, concerned. Steph smiled, but it was a fake one. "Nothing, nothing." The girl said. Noire woke up a little, opening an eye. "What's wrong, Steph-sama?" Noire asked, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "It's...um..nothing for you to worry about. I'm fine, promise." Steph insisted, acting a little more stubborn. Jaune and Vert woke up from the Hero's slightly loud voice. "Anything wrong?" Vert asked, concerned. Now Steph was getting a little angry. "I'm fine! Can you just leave me alone?!" Steph yelled, laying down on the bed and turning sideways, pulling the covers up to her chin. She closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep.

Leo burst into the room, still in her pajamas. "What's with all the yelling?" She demanded, crossing her arms and glaring at each and every one of them. "Steph won't tell us what's wrong. She got angry after we kept asking if she was okay and yelled at us to leave her alone." Gaul explained, his ears drooping a little. Leo sighed, seeing Gaul's ears drooping. Steph's eyes flew open, trying to listen to what Leo had to say. "Just give her time. These are probably problems back in her home." Leo said, trying to comfort Gaul. "Good job figuring it out, Leo-sama." Steph said, sitting up in bed. Jaune, Vert, Gaul and Noire looked at Steph with concern. "I'm just thinking about all the mean things they said. Crap like fat, ugly, "a shame to the family", a failure and they pressure me into bring someone I don't want to be.." Steph whispered, looking down.

Leo looked over and saw tears staining the blanket Steph was holding. "Hey..don't cry." Gaul said, wiping her tears away. Steph pushed his hand away, not wanting to feel worse. Leo placed a hand on her shoulder. "Noire, Jaune, Vert and I will leave you two in private." Leo announced, beckoning for the three other girls to come with her. Steph heard the door shut and laid back down, facing away from Gaul. "Hey....are you...mad at me?" Gaul asked. "No....I just want to sleep..." Steph said, closing her eyes. Gaul smiled a little. He pecked her on the cheek before going onto the sofa and falling asleep. "'Night Gaul." Steph said, even though he was already asleep.
