*Riiiinnnnnnggggg*

*Pause*

*Rrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggg*

"What the hell," I groan.

I sit up in bed and try to find the source of the noise. Violet's phone is ringing, yet she is sleeping. I throw a pillow at her.

"Violet, wake up!" I said.

"No, five more minutes...zzz...zzz," Violet barely made out.

Next to me, Skylar stirs, I quickly took Violet's phone and turned it off and sigh out of relief. I get out of bed to go get my own phone to check the time, 4:38 a.m. 'Who on earth called  Violet that early in the morning.' Whatever I thought, I'm already awake and I'm not that tired why not start off my day. I take a morning shower, get dressed, and rummaged through my stuff to find a post-it. I write a quick little note saying I'm going to the store to get some food and I'll be back in a bit. I put it on the nightstand and head out. I shove my phone in my pocket and walk to the elevator. When the elevator came up there was this guy, he looked like a flirt and smelled of alcohol.

"Hey sweetheart, looking for trouble?" the flirt asked.

If he wants to end up in the hospital he better leave me alone. I start to head to the elevator but he grabs my arm from behind. I whip out my switchblade and push him against the wall.

"Touch me again and you will REGRET IT!" I raise my voice.

"Ok ok now let me go." He said kind of worried but not quite.

I push him away and walk in the elevator. I press the button for the first floor. 'Damn, why do a-holes always have to be so effing pushy!' I thought to myself. The elevator rings without me noticing, I walk out and take out my phone. I look for grocery shops nearby. There were a couple so I walked to Morton Williams Supermarkets since it is open 24 hours and no other store, besides the 24-hour ones are open at 4:48 in the morning. It would take a 10-minute walk, but I was fine with it. When I got there and walked in, I grabbed a basket and started walking around. I went to go look for eggs, milk, butter, napkins, Italian bread, some deli meat, chocolate, Advil, and some juices. When I was walking to go to the checkout counter I heard a lot of things falling and then a man swearing. I walk the corner where it was a women section of the store to see a man, maybe 19 or 20, putting back boxes of pads and tampons, that had fallen, back on the shelf. I walk over and help the guy out. After we were done putting all of the items back he thanked me with a shaky laugh, I just nodded and started to walk away but he stopped me.

"Um excuse me Miss?" the guy started.

"Yeah?" I said, turning around.

"Do you um...mind helping me out? My sister just started um..yeah and I'm on a road trip with her and I have no idea what to give her," he explains.

No red flags give off so I decide to help him out.

"Yeah okay, how old is your sister?" I ask.

"13 years." he says.

I stop to think and put back the box I had in my hand and pick up a different type and also a box of pantie liners. I give it to him and also take out the chocolate and Advil out of my basket and hand it to him. He looked a bit confused.

"Advil is for the pain meaning cramps, chocolate is just a comfort food every girl needs it," I say and walk away to retrieve two more items.

When I found the two items I walk to the cash register and find the same man from before there. He turned around and smiled, I stood behind him putting my items on the counter.
