Chapter Five. (@WeLuvNickJay)

 
Nick’s P.O.V
 
I couldn’t help but stare at her as she and her friends whispered to one another. I don’t know what it was, but there was something about her that made it impossible for me to look away. Was it the way that her big, beautiful eyes sparkled in the sunlight? Or how her smile had the ability to make her entire face transform and light up? Or the way that her long, glossy hair danced delicately in the gentle breeze? I don’t know, but what I did know was that I felt drawn to her as if she were magnetic. And I was dying to get to know her better.
 
Joe – "What are you doing?"
 
My brother’s voice snapped me out of my trance-like state and I regretfully pulled my eyes away from her.
 
Nick – "N-nothing, nothing."
 
Joe lowered his eyebrows and stared at me with immense concentration. It’s like he was analyzing me or something. Eventually his brows rose and a smirk appeared on his face. He walked over to me and folded his arms across his chest.
 
Joe – "You have a crush."
Nick – "What? I do not."
Joe – "Aw c’mon Nicky admit it, you so have a thing for one of them."
Nick – "Joe, I think all of that hair gel is beginning to affect your brain cells."
Joe – "So who is it? Is it Alexis?"
Nick – "No."
Joe – "Holly?"
Nick – "Forget it Joe! Even if I did have a crush on one of those girls, which by the way I don’t; I wouldn’t tell you anyway."
Joe – "Why not?"
Nick – "Because you can’t keep a secret for the life of you."
Joe – ‘Oh that is so not true!"
 
I cocked an eyebrow at him.
 
Joe – "Okay so maybe it is."
Nick – "My point exactly."
Joe – "But Nick I wanna knooooooowww!" He whined.
Nick – "Well too bad, ‘cause I’m not telling you a thing…Because there’s nothing to tell."
 
He held is hands up in surrender.
 
Joe – "Okay, okay whatever you say. I believe you."
 
I nodded at him and walked away without another word. A few seconds later, I felt an arm go around my shoulder and I looked to my left to see Joe walking beside me.
 
Joe – "But stay away from the pretty blonde with the cute giggle; I’ve already called dibs."
 
I rolled my eyes and wiggled out of his grasp. I wandered over to the girls and cleared my throat.
 
Nick – "Ladies, I hate to interrupt you. But we have some more boxes to unload."
Sienna – "Oh, could we help you?" she asked with a smile.
Nick – "Sure, come on."
　
　
Holly’s P.O.V
 
Holy sweet mother of all things Jonas!!! Is all of this really happening? Are my best friends and I seriously standing in the presence of the flipping Jonas Brothers?!?! The Jonas Brothers, the brothers of Jonas, the three most incredibly talented, influential and inspirational guys that we've been completely obsessed with since the eighth grade?! Ohmygosh they're even more gorgeous in person, especially Nick. Sweet geez that man is sexy! I could stare at him all day long... oh wait I kinda do, what with all the posters in my room and all that jazz. But I probably should admit that in front of them, like Sienna said we gotta play this cool. But I can't help it, Nick is so hot and I just wanna run up and hug him and... yeah this is gonna be a challenge.
 
Holly - "So what brings you guys to Texas?" I asked coyly as we followed Nick to the moving van.
Nick - "Well I was actually born here."
Holly - "Oh really?"
Nick - "Yeah, then we moved to Jersey a few years later and then to L.A when we got signed. But my parents were really missing Texas, so we decided that it was time to move back home."
Holly – "Awww that’s nice."
 
Nick gave me a small smile and I felt the blood rush to my face. I looked away and scratched my arm nervously.
 
Nick – "So what about you?"
Holly – "Me?"
Nick – "Yeah you. Have you always – "
Kevin – "Nick will ya stop gas-bagging and go and help Joe before he harms himself or somebody else."
 
Sure enough, when I peeked into the moving van I saw Joe battling to lift what appeared to be an extremely heavy box. I covered my mouth and giggled lightly and Nick smirked.
 
Nick - "Sure, the last thing we need is for him to wind up in the hospital.... again."
Sienna, Alexis and I busted out laughing and Joe scowled at Nick as he climbed into the truck to help.
Joe - "I have one word for you brother.... revenge."
Nick - "Is that supposed to intimidate me? Because I recall the last time that you attempted to get revenge, it was you who winded up covered in honey and feathers, not me."
Alexis - "Are they always like this?" she asked Kevin.
Kevin - "Not always, but a good chunk of the time."
Holly - "And here I thought Nick was the serious one."
Kevin - "Oh he is when he's in the public eye, but once the cameras are out of sight he's a real – wait a sec I thought you said you weren't fans."
 
Ah mudcrunkies! I let something slip, way to go Holly. I knew something like this would happen, see this is why I need to start talking about things besides the Jonas Brothers. I talk about them so often that things slip out and I don't even notice. Oh well I guess I should probably attempt to cover my ass.
 
Holly - "I'm not really, but a girl that I babysit is crazy about you. She has so many posters of you guys in her room that it's practically wallpaper."
Kevin - "Oh well that explains it."
 
I smiled and nodded.
 
Sienna - "So what can we do to help?"
Kevin - "Well there's just these few boxes left to bring into the house and then you can help us unpack if you would like."
Alexis - "Sure, sounds awesome we'd be happy to assist you."
Kevin - "Sweet."
 
Alex smiled at him and I swear I saw Kevin blush a little. Awww is he crushing on her? He totally is, I can tell. I have a sixth sense for that sort of thing. The three of us jumped up into the truck picked up the last of the boxes then made our way to the front door. As we approached, we saw Joe and Nick still struggling with that heavy box.
 
Nick - "What on Earth is in here?"
Joe - "I think it's Frankie's comic books."
Nick - "Yeah maybe. I was gonna say your hair products, but your guess is good to."
Joe - "Dude I swear; if I wasn't terrified of the wrath of Mum, this box would have been dropped on your toes."
 
The rest of their conversation was cut off when they got inside.
 
Kevin - "Do you guys have brothers?"
Holly - " I do unfortunately."
Alexis - "I do as well."
Sienna - "I don't thank goodness and after seeing them, I don't think I'll be wishing for one any time soon."
Kevin - "Smart girl," he laughed as he walked inside with us in tow.
 
I felt my mouth drop to the ground when I saw the interior of the house, it was absolutely gorgeous. Not only was it humungous, but it reminded me of those old fashioned, Victorian style houses that I fantasised about living in when I was little. Don't ask why, I just did. I was kinda a weird kid.
 
Kevin - "Mother! We have visitors!"
 
I heard footsteps approach and I turned to see Mama J walk in from what I'm guessing was the kitchen.
 
Mama J - "Hello, I'm Denise Jonas it's lovely to meet you."
 
She smiled and wiped her hands on her pants, then extended one forward. I sat the box down on the ground then shook her hand.
 
Holly - "It's lovely to meet you to Mrs. Jonas. I'm Holly Benson, I live next door."
Mama J - "Oh so you're David and Maria's daughter?"
Holly - "Yes Ma'am and... I apologise in advance for my older brother Jake."
Mama J - "Don't worry about that sweetie, if I survived my four boys than I think I can survive your brother."
Kevin - "It's true, we were nuisances, especially Super Joe Man."
Sienna - "Super Joe Man?"
Kevin - "It's best you don't ask."
Sienna - "Okay," she mouthed.
 
Holly - "Oh I'm sorry, where are my manners? Mrs. Jonas these are my two best friends Sienna Campbell and Alexis Santiago."
S & A - "Nice to meet you," they smiled.
Denise - "You to girls and please, call me Denise. Mrs. Jonas makes me feel old."
Kevin - "Mama you will never be old," he said as he hugged her.
Denise - "Awww thank you honey... but you're not getting out of helping Frankie unpack his room. "
Kevin - "Darn; oh well I guy can try."
Alexis - "I'm guessing helping Frankie unpack is a hard task?"
Kevin - "Oh yeah, he's got all these action figures and webkinz and if they're not handled in a certain way.... he can get pretty angry."
 
Sure enough seconds later we heard a voice cry out from upstairs:
 
Frankie - "DAD NO! DON'T TOUCH THAT!"
 
Kevin - "See what I mean?"
Denise - "You should probably go and take over for your Dad, I need his help down here."
Kevin - "Yes Mum."
 
He trotted off upstairs and I turned to Denise.
 
Holly - "So would you be able to tell us where these last boxes go?"
Denise - "Oh of course honey, I'm sorry for making you stand there with them for so long."
Sienna - "It's not a problem."
 
Denise came over and checked out our boxes.
 
Denise - "Okay so; Holly your box goes in Nick's room, Sienna yours goes in Joe's and Alexis' one goes in Kevin's."
H, S & A - "Thank you."
Denise - "You're welcome and if you need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask."
Alexis - "Will do."
 
She smiled at us and went back into the kitchen. The three of us headed upstairs and stopped at the top. We looked at each other, let out silent squeals of happiness, then went off in different directions to find the boys rooms. As I turned down one of the hallways, I saw Nick come out of the bathroom flicking the water off of his hands.
 
Holly - "So what was in the box? Was it Frankie comics? Or Joe's hair products?"
 
He looked up at me and chuckled.
 
Nick - "Unfortunately it turned out to be neither," he said as he walked towards me.
Holly - "Aw, boo."
 
He laughed again and I smiled slightly.
 
Nick - "So what have you got there?" he asked tapping the box in my hands.
Holly - "I'm not entirely sure, but apparently it belongs in your room."
Nick - "Well then follow me and we can find out together."
Holly - "Okay," I laughed as I followed him.
Nick - "Was that cheesy?"
Holly - "A little, but don't worry it was kinda cute."

 
He gave me a small smile and I returned it. He turned and walked into his bedroom and I followed him in.
 
Nick - "Just drop that anywhere."
 
I nodded and sat it on the floor next to his massive bed.
 
Nick - "Okay so why don't we start with this stuff here and we'll go from there?" he asked gesturing to a pile of boxes near his closet, which I'm assuming were full of his clothes.
Holly - "Kay, sounds cool," I smiled.
　　
　
2 hrs later***
 
I groaned loudly as I stretched out my back, which was very sore from bending down repeatedly. I plonked my hands on my hips and looked around at all the empty boxes.
 
Nick - "We've done a good job."
Holly - "We have haven’t we? We make a pretty good team."
Nick – "Yeah we do."
 
I giggled at him and checked my watch. My eyes widened at I let out a little squeal when I saw it was almost six o’clock.
 
Holly – "Shoot! Sorry Nick I’ve got to go, my Mother will skin me alive if I’m late for dinner."
Nick – And we don’t want that to happen do we?"
Holly – "No I’d prefer my skin to stay on my body."
 
He laughed at bit, then looked into my eyes. Oh sweet baby Jesus! His eyes are truly hypnotising. It’s like I was swimming in a pool of melted milk chocolate. I could easily stare into them all day if you allowed me.
 
Holly – "U-u-um… I should probably…go."
Nick – "Wait, before you do."
 
He went over to his desk, picked up his phone and handed it to me.
 
Nick – "Put your number in."
 
I smiled and took it from him, then pulled mine out of my back pocket.
 
Holly – "Only if you put yours in to."
Nick – "Deal."
 
I quickly punched my number into his phone, then gave it back to him.
 
Holly – "Done."
Nick – "Done," he smiled, handing my phone back to me.
Holly – "So I’ll see you round?"
Nick – "Definitely."
 
I grinned widely, then walked over to his door.
 
Holly – "Bye Nick."
Nick – "See ya Holly."
 
I waved at him then headed towards the stairs. On the way I saw Sienna and Alexis coming out of Kevin and Joe’s rooms. When they spotted me they grinned widely and rushed over to me.
 
Alexis – "Oh my gosh I have so much to tell you guys."
Sienna – "Me to."
Holly – "Me three, but not here, we’ll go back to my house."
 
We fast-walked down the stairs, quickly said goodbye to Mrs. Jonas, then raced back over to my house. We barged through the door and bolted up to my room.
 
Mrs. Benson – "Hey girls, how’d it go?"
Holly – "Great Mum, will tell you about it later, got stuff to do."
Mrs. Benson – "Okay then, oh Sienna, Alexis are you two staying for dinner?"
Alexis – "If it’s not too much trouble."
Mrs. Benson – "It’s no trouble at all."
Sienna – "Thanks Mrs. B!"
 
We sprinted down the hall and piled into my room. I shut the door, locked it then jumped onto my bed next to the girls.
 
H, S & A – "SPILL!"
