Chapter 3

*The Next Day*

I wake up with my alarm going off. I sit up, turning off my alarm and look towards my door where I see my mum. What does she want?

"You can have the day off since you worked hard yesterday" she said with a small smile. Really?

"Whatever" I snap back, lying back down. She's probably giving me the day off because of what happened yesterday. I hate her for that, and yet she's still not apologised.

Without another word she walks out the door and after a few minutes I hear her walk outside and lock the door behind her.
Its 8:30am in the morning she will be gone until 7pm. Time to investigate!
I want Belle to come with me but she doesn't finish college until 12pm so I will have to wait until then.

Its now 12pm and I'm waiting outside the college. I hear the bell go off and I wait for Belle coming out. When she's out the door she is with two boys, they look quite hot. Then I realise who they were. The Dolan Twins!
Be cool Be cool....I repeated to myself as they came closer and closer to me. My heart is pounding, and my palms started to go clamy.

"Hi M'darling" Belle said giving me a hug.
"Hows your arm? " she asks pulling away.

"I'm fine and my arms ok still a bit sore" I lied, I'm in agony with it but I don't want Belle to worry. I quickly turn my attention back to the twins and I start to flush.

"Oh this is Grayson and this is Ethan" Belle said pointing to the boys.
I already know that Belle!

"Hi I'm Jaiden but call be Jai" I said a little shakey and I look to Ethan who is staring at me. God he is adorable.

"So guys we're new in the area. What do you do for fun around here?" Grayson asks putting his arm around Ethans shoulder.

"Well we are going to be detective's today" I said sarcastically and they all look puzzled including Belle. I give them a quick brief on what happened yesterday and say that we are going to find out why my mum was acting like a bitch.

"So what did you have in mind?" Ethan asks looking a little worried.

"Well we are going to go back to The Greys house and see if they can give me any answers" I explained and they all smiled a little.

"Im down" Grayson said smiling.
We head into the boys car and drive to The Greys house.

When we arrive I ask everyone to stay in the car because I want to do this alone.
I walk to the very large porch and knock three times on the door.
When the door opened the young women who greeted me and Belle yesterday answers the door and she looks a little confused.

"Um is Mrs Grey here?" I asked and she nodded then disappears. Moments later a young women comes to the door. Its Christians wife?

"Hello?" She said with a little confusion in her voice.

"Uh sorry I think there has been a mistake I would like to speak to Grace?" I said in a shakey tone. Why am I so nervous?

"Yes of course...um..I'm Ana" she said shaking my hand.
"How's your arm?" She asks.

"A little sore" I lied once again. She seems kind why would my mum call her a slut?

She invites me in and we head through to the living room.
I see Grace and her husband on one side of the room and Mr Grey on the other side with a little boy who I'm guessing is his son. Aw he's so cute!

"Grace this young women wanted to speak to you" Ana said politely and then Grace turns to face me.

"Hi" I said quietly

"Can I help you" Grace asked. I quickly get to the point and explain how sorry I am about what happened last night and that I just wanted to ask a few questions. I start to shake as Christian's eyes burn into mine, God this whole family is intimating.

"Look we don't care you already apologised last night and we don't want to answer any questions. Now please can you leave" Christian said to me, how voice sounded serious like he wasn't to be argued with.
Suddenly the young women who opened the door to me grabbed my arm to excort me out.

"Ahhhh!" I scream and I push her a little. That hurt, like really hurt.

"Let me have a look at your arm please" Grace demanded and holds out her hand. I'm not sure weather to show her I mean it won't be that bad. Would it?
"I'm a doctor your in safe hands" she said.
I am wearing a green tartin shirt with a black vest top. So I have to take off my shirt since it was my upper arm she hurt. When Grace was examining me her face went pale and she looked disgusted.
I looked down and its a massive bruise, and finger marks where she dug her nails into me. Holy shit!

Grace continues to examine my arm and it turns out it's only brusied and it will take a while to heal. She must of thought I broken it or something.

"Look I know you want me to go but I have one question" I blurted out. I'm so determind to find out what happened.
"Why don't you and my mum speak anymore, from what I remember you too used too be good friends?" I questioned.
Grace then looks at Christian and Ana and she she looks upset and Christian gives nothing away.

"Thats something you need to ask your mum" Grace said now looking down at the floor. What!?
I'm so confused but I've had enough of these secrets. I run out the door not even saying goodbye and run into the car.

"What happened?" Belle asks.
I explain the whole situation that happened in the house. Why couldn't she just tell me?

"So what we going to do now?" Ethan asked looking concerned.

"It's not over yet can you please drive me back to my house" I asked Grayson who was driving.

He nodded and we set off. I'm going to find out once and for all.
