Michael's POV
I stared at Lyla's motionless body. "No! You will not leave us again!" I slammed my hands down on the ground, making the house shake when I did so. Blaze growled as red light was beginning to grow around his body. He was about to destroy everything. I looked down as Lyla's hands clenched up into fists. Then she screamed. The scream had Blaze and I covering our ears and bending over in pain. Then she stopped screaming and I couldn't see anything. The lights had gone out and it was still dark outside. Damon came running down the stairs with his phone light and saw us around Lyla. He stopped and stared at Lyla. I turned back around and looked at her as well. Her hair now had grey tips and was even longer than it was. She looks like she had a dark glow to her, if that's even possible. But the part that had us all staring was the fact that her chest was moving. She was breathing. "Lyla?" Blaze was the one to speak. Her eyes opened slowly and looked at the ceiling before landing on each of us. "What happened?" She went to sit up and Blaze and I both jumped to stop her. "Guys. Stop. I'm fine." She pushed our hands away and sat up, acting as if she hadn't just fallen down huge ass fucking stairs. "You don't remember?" She frowned. "Of course I remember. I just wanted to know why the fuck my heart stopped beating!" I froze with anger. Thinking about her dead for any amount of time made me want to tear the world apart.
"We don't know. Michael and I heard you fall and found you at the bottom of the stairs. Once we had reached you, you woke up. You talked about it being your fault were here and then your nose started to bleed and you.... Died." You could hear pain in Blaze's voice when he said that last word. Lyla looked down at the ground and touched the spot where the blood was beginning to dry. "I saw images... Of our life before." Damon looked at her and stared. Like he had been since he came down stairs. Blaze was standing on the other side of the room looking at the wall. They knew something Lyla and I didn't. My anger flared up and my power began to show. "Stop keeping secrets. What are you not telling her?!" I growled at the two. Damon stopped staring at Lyla and looked at me. "First of all, do not growl at me." He turned and faced me while crossing his arms over his chest. "Second, calm the fuck down. And last," he looked back at Lyla and frowned, "Lyla is one of us now." "WHAT?!" Lyla looked up from looking at the ground and looked at Damon in surprise. "She has her memories. All her powers will come back. And she's going to be exactly like us." Blaze said from his spot on the other side of the room. I looked at him and saw that his hands were to his sides and he was now glaring at the wall. His anger was clearly taking control of him.
Before anyone could do anything, his arm came back and he slammed his fist into the wall. Then he was gone, leaving nothing but a giant fist hole through the wall. Lyla was up and on her feet in no time, running in the direction that Blaze had went.
Jake, fulling recovered now, came running out of the spare room downstairs and stopped when he saw the hole in the wall. "I heard everything. But I couldn't heal fast enough. Where's Lyla?" I get up from my spot on the floor and start to go after them but Damon stopped me. "Dude, I wouldn't right now. You know she is probably the only one out of all of us that can calm him down fast enough." I looked at him and then looked at the wall while letting out a deep sigh. "Fine." I charged upstairs and slammed my door shut. 'We are going to lose her. She has her memories now. Soon, she will have her powers back. And the Lyla we all know will be gone.' I began pacing my room. "We can't lose her again." I put my head in my hands and sat down on my bed. "I can't lose her again."
Lyla's POV
"Blaze stop!" I could see him clearly in front of me but at the pace that he was moving, I would never catch up to him. He came to a stop and I jogged up to him. "Blaze, what's going on? Why are you so upset?" He didn't say anything nor did he look me in the eyes. I got angry and pushed his shoulder, even though I knew he wouldn't even move an inch. "Answer me. Why do you hate me so much?" He growled and he began to light up. "I don't hate you, Lyla. Once you remember everything, you won't even give me a second glance. Because of HIM!" He pointed to the house. "Who? And that's bull shit, Blaze. You're still my friend and nothings going to change that." He flinched and I was confused why. He shook his head and glared at a tree. "That is the problem, Lyla. Michael is in love with you. I'm in love with you. And the sad truth is, you always pick him." His glow died down and he disappeared into the forest. I stared at where he had vanished in disbelief.
