Chapter 22

Playing in the spell casted rain and reserved water balloons was fun while it lasted. When the war have declared victorious on my leading army we all finished cleaning up including the by-standers that watched in the sidelines laughing at our childish behavior.

We went to the clean shed at the very back of the property. It has enough blow-dryers to dry our furs and hair.

Let me explain. We Ichinose Wolves have unique furs, not only do we have white fur and red glowing eyes our fur is also very hard to dry. When we return to our human form with our fur wet, we get some minor physical sickness. Like our stomach would hurt lightly due to compression of water and we feel our body almost numb and tingly like we are floating on surface water. The worst that could happen to us is we get a major stomach pain that it felt like it got impaled by large poles, and or high fever due to bacteria absorbed by our body. Wolf clans have their own unique characteristic that shows from what line of ancestor each are strongly connected.

Now back to what we are doing we had the same groupings that are now known as 'the blow-dryers' and 'the aired-mutts', with the addition of the by-stander earlier. When we finish drying each other we went back to the Villa and assigned that Creepypastas that are with the hosts.

Kaoru with Annie and Hoodie

Mori with Xavier and Homicidal Liu

Honey with Wataru and Laughing Jack

"By the way for Kyoya you have me and Slenderman but one of us or both are often not around, so you will be forever stuck with Tamaki, Yumiko, and Toby when both of us are out. That is all." I said after I realize I haven't properly grouped Kyoya with anyone. Hearing his groan in irritation for being with Tamaki again gave me smirk unnoticeably and the others snicker and Tamaki rejoice.

"Oh and Kyoya," I started looking at him, "A friendly warning; Being with Tamaki, Toby, and Yumiko would make you want to either commit suicide or murder them in less than a minute, so if you can be on which team you want but they are to stick close to you in place of me and Slenderman." I finished giving him a close eyed smile and he just glared at me which made me smirked.

"Now that is done, the day after tomorrow is the day we'll go to the cave Yuri's 'Father' asked her to meet him." Slenderman announced.

"By the way, now we had our memories back I want to know why that pendant is so valuable that you had to possibly risk getting set up and killed just to take it back." Kyoya interjected and the other hosts nodded.

"It was the last gift Mom gave me before she died. It is also a proof of succession." I replied looking at the floor preventing myself from thinking the last birthday I celebrated with the mother.

"I don't want him to have that pendant because who knows what will happen to the clan if a traitor was to lead it." I added.

"Chaos." Haruhi said. I nodded and everyone and thing fell silent.

"That is why it is important we get that pendant back. If we fail everyone including your families will be history, but I, together with the Creepypastas, won't let that happen, so we have to get that back." Slenderman encouraged us.

"What can we do to help?" Tamaki said seriously which almost caught everyone off guard.

"All hosts will be on the medical team. Dr. Smiley, Splendorman, Trenderman, Sally, and Masky will be with you. Smiley for being the doctor, Splendor and Trender hates violence but they can protect you all, Sally is too young to fight, and Masky is to provide assistance to Smiley." Slenderman said.

"And wolf medical committee, join them. You task is to keep them safe and tent to injured wolves and Creepypasta. No fighting with the Creepypasta and assist the Enders if there are too many enemies." I added.

Amy and Annie, together with five other wolves, nodded. Then we discussed the plan for the operation.

I sat at the library reading a book to calm my spirit. The door creaked opened and gained my attention then Kyoya stepped in with his laptop and closed the door. He saw me and went to my table where I sat and read. He sat his laptop down and plugged his charger at the power outlet. He then opened his laptop and typed away, while I continued reading.

Silence has befall between us and the only sound present was the clicking of the laptop.

"Your shoulder." Kyoya said breaking the silence and confusing me at the same time.

"What?" I asked as I looked at him.

"Is you shoulder fine enough to be fighting already? Last time I checked you were shot two day ago." He said pushing his glasses up.

"I'll ask Slender to heal it for me later. If dad asked I'll just say wolf healing and at school I'll pretend it still hurts." I replied looking back at the book I'm reading.

"Acceptable." He said as I feel his gaze left me.

"The water balloon fight a while ago was to calm the wolves and some Creepypastas, right?" He said as the continued to type.

"Well more for myself than them." I replied.

"About those partners," He started. I waited but he didn't continue.

"I picked those partners depending on their personalities and their compatibility. Like how Haru, Amy, and EJ get along for their similarity such as studying. Tamaki, Yumiko, and Toby can get along for their cheerfulness and annoying nature. Honey, Wataru, and LJ can be candy buddies but LJ might kill Honey because of his childish look but if he find out Honey's true age, they might get along. As for you, me, and Slender, Leadership. You command the host, Slender; the Creepypastas, and me; the wolves. You get what I mean or I explain more?" I explained.

"No, I get it." He replied still typing.

He stopped typing and fixed his things up.

So he just wanted to ask. I thought to myself.

When he was done he went to leave. He opened the door and just stood there. I looked to see what he is up to.

He looked back at me and gave me a small reassuring, more a little sad smile, then said the most words that make you think if he is sick or the world is about to end.

"Get it done quickly and come back safe."

After he said that he left and I just sat there looking at the door in shock because of what he said.

Safe, huh? I asked to myself and went out the room to help Slenderman make Lunch for everyone.

The most unexpected thing the Kyoya Ootori said to a mythical creature, Safe.
