LOST

There skin dirty, covered with black smudges. There bony limbs are like sticks, which could break with a single attempt. They are almost on top of one another like a pile of unattended clothes. Worst of all their eyes glimmer with hope and sorrow and they don't have a twinkle of life in them. Tears prickle at my eyelids. I can wipe away the tears in my eyes but after this I don't think I can forget the pain in my heart.

i seat myself in the dark corner were the old gloomy wallpaper is peeling off. I can't see them anymore but the memory is vivid in my mind; piercing any thoughts that try and abolish its path. My hand slithers into my threadbare pocket retrieving the smooth locket. It reminds me of the happy times that seems so far away from me. I realise carved on the inside of the locket is a message. A message that could rescue me from my life. It reads:

Thy shall persist,

To no avail,

Does one succeed.

Suddenly a manly figure hovers at the door. I stuff my clutch of hope into my pocket wishing and praying it would not be taken away from my ownership. Everyone shank back into their groups. Hoping that they were chosen by the shadow. His footsteps were coming towards me little do I know what this man plans for me. He grabbed me my knotty hair and dragged me out the door. My scream echoed through the dim hallways but no one relieved me of this man's grip.

Through the halls he went coming to an abrupt stop outside a thick ambiguous door. The high pitch squeak of the buttons unlock the door revealing a darkened room. One man is standing in the centre ushering me in with his fake smile.

" Sit down my darling" he hissed

I managed to pucker up my courage and I spat " What do you want? What have you done to my life. "

"Idiot, Why would I care? I have what I want and you don't. Sounds fair to me."

His wicked laugh made me heave as I was shoved into a black metal chair. He started pacing around me. The disgusting smell of his body leaked up my nose causing me to once again gag. He stopped when he was exactly opposite me and leant down on me as if I was some sort of defenceless doll. I looked into his eyes seeing no happiness and no love. My thoughts were drowning me.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY FAMILY YOU UNLOVED MAN"

His eyes gleamed with delight and he spoke in a harsh whisper "How about we make a deal that way I get what I want and you get what you want"

Spit flew as the words ran out of his mouth. He told me the deal. I was shocked and torn. Emotions filled my head and tears stung my eyes. I remembered something my father told me: So many people come into our lives and quickly go. Others come and leave footprints in our hearts. I shouted at him for a long time but he did not seem to be effected. He walked over to a dark corner of the room.
