Born to be Wild {Remus Lupin}

Prologue

"Remus John Lupin, you get down here this instant!"

Sirius Black was one of Remus' best friends, but right now he was being a complete git. Remus had only just gotten out of the shower when Sirius shouted at him to hurry up.

"Do you want to see me naked?" The second year screamed to the boy downstairs.

"Merlin, Lupin. You wouldn't actually come down here naked." James Potter yelled back.

"Try me, Potter!"

"Shut up, Lupin, we all know you wouldn't do it." Peter Pettigrew chimed, agreeing with James, as always.

Sirius rolled his eyes. "Fine, Remus. I guess we'll have to go on to Transfiguration without you." He sighed dramatically, "But one can only hope that you make it there alive without us."

Remus walked down the stairs from the dormitory. "Fine, fine. I came and I'm not naked. You were right, Potter, I wouldn't do that." He grumbled.

Peter high fived James, who was grinning from ear to ear, as they walked.

Oh, great. Remus thought. Now I've made his ego even bigger.

As they made their way to their Transfiguration class, Lily Evans and her friends began to walk beside them. James had taken sort of a liking to Lily, and once James saw something he wanted, he was set on getting it. This frustrated Lily excruciatingly, as she did not at all return his feelings. He bugged her and bugged her to the extent that Remus was feeling really bad for her. They had talked a bit in the past, and she was very nice.

Walking in to the classroom, Professor McGonagall greeted the students, but rushed them to their seats. The professor tended to do that, as she wanted to get as much learning in for her students as she could. Remus had begun to enjoy her classes more and more, especially because it was something he was interested in.

"Okay class, today we will be begin working with our partners for this year. While you will not be able to choose your partners this year, next year you can. This is so you can socialize with other students." McGonagall said. "The pairs are written on that piece of parchment over there, now I want a single file line-"

Her voice was drowned out by dozens of students clamoring over the parchment, hoping to get one of their friends as their partner.

"Sweet! I got Olivia Harper!" Sirius' voice is heard from the front of the line, followed by a groan from one of the Hufflepuffs waiting their turn.

Sirius continues, "James got Evans, and Remus got Lana. Peter got Lisa Brown." Sirius left the front of the line and joined his friends.

Peter asked, "Do you think the professor paired all of the boys with girls?"

"I hope," Sirius chuckled, "Maybe they'll finally find us 'acceptable'"

McGonagall clapped her hands together. "Now that you all know your partners' names, I suggest you find them. The lesson will begin once everyone has gotten settled."

Remus gulped and walked over to his partner. It seemed the gods were against him again, because his partner was, of course, someone he didn't know. Lana Phillips, who was, in Remus' opinion, very pretty. He had seen her with Lily's group of friends, but it seemed she only talked to one person, and that was Lily.

Remus wasn't sure that he was going to be able to talk to her. After all, he was the second worst in their group at talking to girls. Especially pretty girls.

"So," He chuckles nervously, "Partners all year, huh?"

"I guess," She said, "But, if we're gonna be partners all year, we should be introduced properly." She joked.

"Okay," Remus replied, "I'm Remus Lupin." She took her hand and shook it.

"And I'm Lana Phillips. It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Lupin. Now, shall we sit down?"

"Oh yes." Remus said, smiling. "I'll be here all year.

This is a new story. I love the idea for it and I hope you enjoy! The face claim for Lana is Bella Heathcote, who I think is very pretty.
