Liam’s POV
The concert went well. No major mishaps. The biggest thing was during the twitter questions when we were asked to do our best Irish dance and Harry ended up falling. When the concert is over, I grab my phone and see I missed a call from Melanie.
“Baby why didn’t you answer when I first called,” she whines when I call her back.
“Sorry love. I was on stage. What are you doing up so late?”
“Aww did you give me a shout out?” she giggles. I pull my phone away from my ear, looking at it as if it will confirm I heard her right. Did she really ask that? What reason would I have for doing that? I’d never referenced Dani when we were dating and we’d been public for 2 years. Melanie still was unconfirmed and unknown to the fans. “I was just out getting drinks with my friends,” she continues, answering my question.
“Sounds fun”
“It was!” she squeals. “But I miss you being here with me. The parties are more fun when you’re here.”
“I miss you too,” I say ignoring the parties part of the comment.
“When are you going to fly me out for a visit?” she asks.
“Oh um…” I say in surprise. “I didn’t know you wanted to come out for a visit. What about your job?”
“Oh I got fired,” she pouts. “And of course I want to go on tour with you! What better way for your fans to know we’re together? And I heard that the president’s daughter is there with you guys. She probably knows tons of places to party and get noticed!”
“Ok, well. What about next week then?” I ask. “That is, if you’re not too busy.”
“That sounds great! Can’t wait to see you again baby. Kiss kiss. Goodnight,” she says, hanging up the phone. I let out a sigh as I pocket my phone. The lads weren’t going to be too happy about it. They didn’t like her at all and they wouldn’t be too happy if she was on the bus with us. Even Lauren couldn’t stand her. Ever since Melanie had found out she was related to Hunter, she’d been trying to persuade Lauren to let her meet him. Lauren hated it when people tried to use her to meet her brother so she absolutely refused to talk to her. Joy this would be a fun visit…
When we get back, I lounge around my room. We were staying the night here and performing a second show so Harry, Niall, and Zayn were going out to a club. I really didn’t feel like going so I opted out. Elodie I’m sure would be all over that so I made sure to tell them to invite her. In my room, I just took to my computer, tweeting a bunch of fans, and following as many as I could. It was the least I could do after all they’ve done for us. I’m considering whether or not to do a twitcam also when the door of my room bursts open.
“Ok so I’ve got Mexican and Chinese. Which do you want?” Elodie announces, holding up two plastic bags. It takes me a second to process she was standing right in front of me.
“What?” I manage to blurt out. Why wasn’t she off with the boys?
“Rain check right? Well which would you like?” she asks again, sitting down on the edge of my bed and starting to pull out the Styrofoam containers of food.
“Umm Chinese,” I say, still not quite sure why she was here. I hadn’t actually expected her to take the rain check thing seriously.
“Hmm no. I wanted Chinese. You can have the Mexican,” she says crinkling her nose as she tosses me one of the containers. I can’t help but chuckle as I catch it. I should have known I really didn’t have a say as to what I was eating. She opens her box of fried rice, grabbing chopsticks out of one of the bags. I open the container I’ve been given and see on closer inspection, what appears to be a chicken burrito.
