-Chapter 8-
"Clarisse!" Percy yelled, and the said girl whipped her head a-round to face him. "Hellhound 3:00!" Just before the mentioned monster could kill Clarisse, she pierced the Hellhound's heart with her spear. The Hellhound screamed in pain and turned to gold dust. Clarisse smiled.
Nico looked around if there are any monsters left. He raised a thumb, signaling that there are none.
The four sighed in relief, and Leo spoke up. "Man, the Fates are so kind to us." Everyone nodded in agreement, knowing the sar-casm flowing from his lips.
They were about to continue in their journey when Percy mo-tioned them to stay still.
The same people who attacked Percy before came out, weapons raised. Leo, Nico, and Clarisse got in a fighting position, ready to attack them. Thor walked past them, and stopped once he reached a tree not just far from the group.
Tony and the rest of the avengers glared at him. Thor raised his hands as if to say, "I don't want to fight Perseus." Natasha rolled her eyes and aimed her gun at Percy.
"Perseus Achilles Jackson—" Percy flinched at his full name. "—You are under arrest for multiple reasons a terrorist could contain," the red-head said.
At this point, the demigods laughed.
Fury appeared, and looked at Natasha in the eye.
"I told you to send him to me. Not arrest him."
Natasha's eyes grew. "But Director —"
"What I told you is clear. Just send him to me. What part didn't you understand?"
The Avengers were shocked. Natasha mostly. Fury looked at Percy, "So, do you wish to join?"
Percy pretended to think. Clarisse found the opportunity to tease him.
"Look guys!" She said. "Percy is thinking!! Oh no, the world is going to end!!!" The demigods and Thor laughed.
"You're all mean." Percy faked a pout. But when the laughter died, Percy cleared his throat and answered, "Can my friends join too?"
Fury nodded. "Your kind is strong, stronger than the Avengers, I may add." Fury walked in front of him and shook the demigods' hands.
"Welcome to the team, Warrior, Death, Flame, and Hurricane."
