Aisa's P.O.V
"Begin!" Kakashi's signal rang through the area. Once again I hung back, letting my opponent strike first. Like Sakura, Sasuke began by sending out a kunai. His aim, I had to admit, was much better than hers. I drew my own kunai and knocked his away before it could hit. He disappeared in a blur of movement. I could have sniffed him out, but I got a better idea. I moved my hands in a blur of handsigns. "Ninja Art: Pack Mentality."
Naruto's P.O.V
I was confused. For a moment, it seemed that nothing happened. Then.... Hey! Naruto!I looked at Aisa. She shook her head and held a finger to her lips, not looking at me. I'll explain later. I would like your help. She filled me in on her plan. I smiled sneakily. Alright! I'm in! Believe it! She chuckled in my head. Okay. Let's get started.
Aisa's P.O.V
With Naruto on my side, I quickly flushed out Duck Butt and once again joined the dance of combat. Attack, defend, retreat. Every move he made, I was forewarned by Naruto.Sasuke was obviously annoyed as it seemed to him that I knew all his moves. I smirked. "Something wrong, Duck Butt?" He glared at me menacingly before sending us back into battle. I drew out the battle, letting him wear down. Finally, I decided to end it. I kicked up my speed and attacked rapidly. I disarmed him easy enough and stole his weapon pouch before kicking him to the ground several feet away. He was breathing heavily. My own breathing was heavier than usual, but my Shadow Academy training allowed me to be ready for days of battle. So, I wasn't doing to bad after a few hours of mainly taijutsu fighting. I turned to Naruto with a smile. "Nice teamwork, buddy!" NAruto smiled boyishlywhile everyone else looked completely confused. I chuckled. "I'll explain. You see, the moce I pulled earlier is a special mental technique. Pack Mentality is used to enhance teamwork by linking the toughts of the 'pack', a.k.a the team, in the same way wolves are connected. I used it to link with Naruto and he gave me a play-by-play of Duck Butt's moves. I could have done it on my own, but I thought it better to beat him with what he takes for granted." Kakashi smiled. "Ironic Justice. Nice choice." I nodded and walked over to Sasuke. I held out my hand to help him up. He glared at my hand like it was poison. I sighed. "Look. I don't like you. You don't like me. But we're teammates, so we have to be moderately civil and we have to work together. For that to happen, we both have to try to make this work. He stared for a moment before nodding and taking my hand. I pulled him up and smiled in satisfaction. I turned back to Kakashi. "So, Kakashi-sensei. What's next?" We spent the rest of the day on D-rank missions and teamwork exercises. So that's how it was for a while. Some training, D-ranks, and teamwork building. Over time, I met more of the Leaf genin. We all got along well enough and I found myself slowly settling in to life in the Leaf.
