The week of the celebration of the school's 50th anniversary came, specifically the night of Toxic Remedy's concert. The even got so popular that even outsiders came, it felt like you would drown in a sea of people from the huge crowd. Every single person was shrieking from excitement, while jumping like so riotously; a mosh pit has started in the middle of the crowd from all the commotion. The mixture of screams, yells, and instruments banging directly from the intense volumes could leave you deaf, with you having a huge grin across your face from the ecstatic energy you've gained from the occurrence. Somehow, although everything was more chaotic than the school had ever experienced, even though the sultry skin everyone in the crowd had would feel like they've been glued to yours, or even the stench of breath and sweat amassed around the whole area, it still had an outward-bound ambiance that left us all nothing but satisfaction for the entire night.
There was no stop from the robust reactions from the crowd, may it be them hitting a single note on the guitar, or a single beat brought down on the drums, it seemed like the concert had no end.
But after so many long hours of squawking our lungs out, and banging our head with every strum, and joining in with every chorus we knew, the concert had to end. And surprisingly, the event featured a last minute feast and dance.
Everyone was obligated to head straight to the multipurpose hall, where there was a buffet ready for all of us, and tables enough to fit every single person who attended the concert.
Soon enough, the melodic music started to play in the background, and one by one, couples started to place at the center of the hall, slowly dancing to the songs that could be heard.
"Well, this looks interesting," Ivan smiled, admiring the couples that danced adoringly.
Laura scoffed, grabbing for the roasted chicken leg she had on her plate, "Too cliché, bruh."
"Wanna go for it, Laura?" said Ivan, grinning as he rose an eyebrow.
"I would. But as you can see, I'm kinda busy," Laura slightly rose the chicken leg to give it more emphasis.
Ivan stood up and grabbed Laura's wrist before her teeth could sink in; he pulled Laura's wrist closer and took a huge bite off the chicken, the whole skin got pulled together and more than half of the meat was left.
Laura's jaw dropped, eyes widening as she took back and forth glances from Ivan to the piece of meat she held on her hand.
"Now, you've got nothing to attend to. So," Ivan took the napkin on the table, wiping his mouth; he gave Laura a teasing grin, "Shall we?"
"You just... no, there's still more meat left, see?" Laura pointed on the other side of the leg.
I immediately grabbed the piece of meat from her hands, eating the remaining meat stick to the bone, smiling mischievously as I chewed.
I shrugged, "Sorry, I'm just still sooooo hungry."
Laura's eyes went even bigger, "You... why... my chicken..."
"Oh, pish posh, Laura. I'll buy you a burger from McDonald's before we get home."
"Hey, I want one, too," I raised my hand.
"You receive enough goods from Caleb, Scarlet. So no," Ivan laughed as he pulled Laura towards the center, "C'mon, Laura."
"But, my chicken..."
I could not stop chuckling from the two of them. I knew they were definitely not compatible with each other, especially with Ivan's sexuality, but those two could really work out. They had chemistry.
