A week had gone by and today I was going back to school. I was dreading it. I didn't want to see Zoe or Drake.

I walked into the kitchen to grab my pack lunch.
"Do you want a ride school?" Liam asked.
I thought about it for a moment.
"Don't you have work?" I asked.
"Yes but I don't have to be in till 9.30 today." Liam replied.
"Sure thanks."
The car ride was very quiet; Liam seemed too tired to talk so I didn't bother to make an effort either.
We reached the school and I saw Damien standing by the gates but once he saw me he disappeared down the drive way, I thanked Liam then climbed out, Lucy came running down to me.
"Hey babe, I am so glad you are back, fancy a sleep over tonight?"
"Sure." I smiled weakly.
"What's wrong?" Lucy asked.
"Damien was waiting by the gates just, and then he saw me in the car with Liam so he walked down the drive." I said confused.
"Maybe he didn't see you? It's early he's probably still half asleep." Lucy replied.
I didn't reply.

The day dragged by but now it was finally lunch time, we went and sat at our usual bench when Damien came and joined us and instead of sitting next to me like usual he sat opposite me.
I looked at Drake who came and sat opposite Lucy and I just wanted to slap him and if she has forgave him this quick then they deserve each other but they wasn't cuddled up so I suppose they were taking things slow.
I kept looking at Damien to see if I could catch eye contact with him but it didn't happen he didn't look at me once. I was annoyed I didn't have a clue what I had done.
Damien's POV
I was annoyed with myself for trying to avoid Karly but I was scared, yes I have had girlfriends before but none of them made me feel like this, I had never admitted to anyone that I was in love.
I liked the feeling but at the same time it scared me, and after seeing Karly in that car today with that boy who lives with her, I knew I didn't stand a chance, why would she date me? All she thinks is that I am a player and a cheat.
I noticed Karly trying to make eye contact with me but I couldn't make it back, I felt like I would never be good enough for her.
Karly jumped up and walked away. I was shocked. I wanted to go after her but if she asked me why I was distant I wouldn't know what to say.
I noticed Lucy go after her. I heard Lucy ask her what's a matter but I didn't hear Karly's reply.
After five minutes Lucy called me over to her just as Karly walked away.
"What's happened to you and Karly?"
"Nothing." I replied.
"Then why aren't you guys talking or even sitting by each other like usual, and why does she seem so depressed?" Lucy snapped a little.
"Lucy I told you I am in love with Karly, I have never admitted that to anyone and to be fair, I don't think I would ever stand a chance with her, she just thinks I am a player." I sighed.
"Ok look, me and Karly are having a sleepover tonight and you need to come so you guys can talk." Lucy replied.
"Ok, we can have it at my house. You tell Drake about the sleepover, I doubt Karly will come if she knows I am going to be there." I sighed again.
"I will get her there."
The bell rang so myself and Lucy headed back to our classes.
