"Where is he?" Connie asked as Sam sat down next to her at the side of the bath after closing the door.
"Downstairs, I told him to wait with the girls."
"Thank you."
"It's all right." Connie took one look at Sam before breaking down and for the second time that day, found herself being comforted by Sam.
Meanwhile...
Jacob entered the kitchen, and found Grace and Maddi exactly as they had been before. Smiling and laughing at each other, as they should have been for the past 1 1/2 years.
"Is it true what Elle said?" Grace asked Jacob, the worry evident in her voice.
"Look, Grace..."
"Get Out!"
"What?" Jacob questioned.
"I said Get out, leave and never come back."
"Grace, your mums only just come back, have you forgotten who's been there for you for the past two years?"
"No, and I appreciate that. But I also remember reading text messages from a year ago. Some from you and some from Elle talking about your affair. Even if you weren't with mum then, you still should of told her. She didn't hide ANYTHING from you did she?" Grace asked rhetorically. Jacob just turned around and walked out leaving the house in peace.
