Percy's Oblitus P.O.V.
The transition from just an ordinary demigod to one of the most powerful beings is not exactly the Radicibus I did it, didn't I? And to think I got everything just because I lost everything.
~~~flashback~~~
Everything was finally going well, and after months away, I would have finally gotten a chance to see my girlfriend Annabeth again. After the war, we had gotten much closer, and I loved it, but of course, all good things must come to an end. I had gotten a ring made by Hephaestus himself with an imperial gold and sterling silver band and had full intentions of proposing. It was accompanied by a greyish diamond in the shape of an owl provided by my uncle, Hades. The eyes of the owl were a special sapphire that was processed to be a sea green colour just for the ring. I was so excited to be finally seeing my wise girl again that I almost missed the hellhound that had tried and failed, might I add to kill me. I had pulled out Riptide just in time for it to turn into golden dust.
As I arrived at Camp-Half Blood, people were doing their usual thing: some playing volleyball, some climbing the lava wall, and Apollo's kids either in the infirmary or archery range. Nico came up to me "Hey did you get what you went for?"
I replied with a simple yeah and continued on my way. I'm eager to find Annabeth after so long. Running up to the Athena cabin, I met with her brother Malcom.
"Hey, is Annabeth in the cabin?" I asked enthusiastically.
"Yeah, she is, but she is a bit occupied at the moment," he answered, looking a bit sympathetic at me. I thought it was because she would be too busy for me, but boy, was I wrong. As I approached the Athena cabin, I got even more excited than before, but that didn't last very long as I saw my girlfriend of six years making out half naked with another boy.
"Annabeth," I spluttered in disbelief.
She raised her head, and at the sight of me, her eyes grew to the size of saucers. She quickly pushed the raven haired boy away from her and threw on her top, which was lying on her bed.
"Styx," she cursed.
I was mad and it was getting pretty fucking obvious! The boy turned around I was met with aquamarine eyes similar to my own.
"Hey. My name's Lewis Clark, son of Poseidon," he said with a cocky smirk, relaxing back on his arms. My usual jovial face harden in an instant.
"Percy I can explain..." Annabeth started before I cut her off angrily.
"Yeah please do Annabeth. Explain to me why in the name of Hades you were cheating on me with my brother. After all we've been through I thought that you would be the last person to betray me but I guess I was wrong." I said anger laced my voice.
"Percy please just listen, you were away for so long that I really missed you and then he came along and he reminded me of you. So we became friends and it just happened. It means nothing I swear Percy it doesn't," she said as her eyes welled up with tears.
"Really, and what am I just supposed to accept that! You missed me so you made out with my younger brother. Annabeth... I... I... bye." I said my face stony as I turned around and left to the sound of Annabeth throwing my brother out of her cabin and her sobs. I quickly went to the arena.
After demolishing all the dummies in the arena the sad part of the break up kicked in. I went to the Poseidon cabin where I stayed for the rest of the day. I tried to avoid being unoccupied but eventually I relapsed into the deafening silence. I couldn't understand why she would do that to me, why was there nothing I could do, why my brother of all people.
END OF FLASHBACK
I continued my training as usual with an expressionless face as it was what the army usually saw, at least during practice. They all said I was a good and brave leader, but sometimes too harsh especially when I'm in a bad mood. It was good that they still like me after all I was practically a jerk to almost all except for Exspiravit who left with me.
