Chapter 29

Violet's P.O.V

I went and picked up rose from school and came back home, today I need to find another job because my old job fired me for not coming in for ages.

"Violet, can I have a soda?" Rose asked standing next to the fridge.

"Not on a school night, you will get hypo!" I signed.

"Awwww c'mon.." she said upset.

"Go play with Boka" I signed and kept looking in the newspaper.

Aha, maybe this is a good one! A daycare assistant. I'll need to go and visit them tomorrow (I can't call of coarse).

"Hey why is your bracelet on the floor?" Rose asked picking it up.

"No reason" I lied.

She shrugged and placed it next to me then went back to playing with boka.

I sighed and picked up the braclet, can I call them my best friends again? I don't know.

I put it back down and walked to the door.

"Im going for a walk, don't go anywhere ok?" I signed and she nodded.

I walked out the door and took in a deep breath of the spring air. I walked down the pathway seeing lots of mothers with their children.

**********Flashback****************

"Where to next?" Dad said picking me up and placing me on his shoulders.

"Where do you want to go honey?" Mum said facing me and pushing the stroller that my baby sister was in.

"A toy shop!" I shouted.

"A toy shop it is!" dad said.

Right before we were going to go down the stairs there was a loud bang.

"What was that daddy?" I asked as he put me down. We looked over the ledge and saw lots of water rushing in.

"We need to go, Now!" Mum said and took rose out of her stroller and we all started to run. I heard screams of lots of people. What's happening.

"That's a good girl keep running!" Dad said holding onto my hand. We were almost at the exit but the water caught up to us. The water carried me underwater but I felt two hands lift me up.

"Take rose and be safe!" Mum said giving me my baby sister, I nodded and held tight onto her.

"Here, take this so we will always be with you!" she said and took off her favorite necklace after that I quickly ran to the door, before I went out I turned to face my parents, they gave me a little wave and I waved back.

I ran straight out and kept running to safety.

"It's ok rose" I cooed in her ear as she cried, she looked up to me with her green baby eyes and stopped crying.

I put on mums necklace and ran home with rose.

**********End of Flashback*********

I kept walking holding back tears and sat on a park bench. If only they were really here with me. Well I better get home cause it's getting late.

I finally reached my house and opened the door, rose was fast asleep on the sofa with Boka. I picked her up and carried her to her room.

I carefully laid her on her bed and pulled the covers over her. I crept out and into my room. Boka came in and laid on my bed next to me. I then let the darkness consume me.

I miss all of you...
