IX. A nice day

"It's official then?" The Pinkette murmured as she saw Ami walk with her family, her hitai-ate gone from it's usual spot on her neck.

'She wasn't cut out to be a ninja anyway.' Inner Sakura snorted.

Mentally nodding, Sakura started walking to the meeting spot, half-heartedly praying that Kakashi's already there.

While walking, she watched the village come to life. The market vendors started opening up their stalls, with various merchandises ready to be sold. The store vendors opened up their shops with some foods already out and displayed to attract costumers.

People, civillian and ninja, walked around. Some were accompanied by their family and friend while most were walking alone, most likely to go to work and start the day.

The Pinkette looked up to the sky, where the clouds still partly covered the sun though it's soft rays bathed the village with a warm glow. The birds seemed to be in a good mood due to their joyful 'singing' which made the girl smile.

Sakura let out a soft sigh before smiling once more, her emerald eyes softening with the calm morning, days like this are bound to be nice and peaceful.

Not.

Sakura spoke too soon. Turns out, Kakashi was late by three hours, forty-nine minutes, and twenty-two seconds. Yes, she timed it. Other than that, Naruto arrived running and panting like a madman, muttering something about a moving rock. After that, he started ranting on how late Kakashi was and is.

Sasuke was also in a bad state, as he kept on muttering about disappearing tomatoes and on how shitty his older cousin is.

Groaning, Sakura pouted as she picked up another weed from the ground, wanting to finish her part of the mission fast.

"DONE!!" Naruto beamed as he fisted his fists.

Emerald eyes twitched, 'He pulled everything, even the herbs!'

"You little brat!!"

"Oi oi!"

"I spent ten months growing those herbs!!"

"Seriously?! Dattebayo..."

"Tsk. Dobe." Sasuke said as he crossed his arms.

Yes, dobe indeed.

"Sasuke-chan!!" An ANBU clad Uchiha yelled as he glomped onto the scowling boy.

"Tsk. Shisui." Sasuke muttered as he tried to pry his cousin off.

"Long time no see!!" Shisui continued to yell, promptly ignoring the rest of team 7.

"Get off!"

"Don't wanna."

"Shisui!"

"Call me 'Shisui-nii' and I might." He grinned.

"Like hell!" Sasuke yelled.

"Shisui, enough." A voice called out, Uchiha Itachi.

'Ara, Itachi's here~' Shisui grinned as he watched his cousin walk towards the baffled and gasping team, though Kakashi could care less and continued to read his book.

"Nii-san!" Sasuke greeted.

'Ah! Sasuke greeted!! It's the apocalypse, 'ttebayo!' Naruto mocked in his own thought.

Sakura sighed as she crossed her arms, 'And I thought that today would be nice... '

"Yo, Shisui, Itachi." Kakashi calmly greeted the duo, raising his left hand to show a peace sign.

"Yo~~" Shisui grinned with a peace sign.

"Good afternoon." Itachi formally greeted with a small nod.

"You!-" Naruto pointed to Shisui.

Said Uchiha blinked, "Me?" He asked as he let go of Sasuke.

"I saw you watching Sakura-chan during training!" Naruto yelled as Shisui blinked.

"Ah, that time? Yeah, I was." He grinned as he replied the Blonde.

"Ah! You stalker! Pedodphile!" The blonde shouted.

"Naruto-san, first of all, it's 'pedophile'. Second of all, it's rude to point at people, especially to your senpai." Sakura scolded as she pried the blonde's hand down.

"Sen...pai? HIM?!"

"Uh-huh." The pinkette nodded.

"I'm part of ANBU~" Shisui teased as he gestured to himself with a grin.

"W...Whaaa??!!! Y-you've got to be kidding?! HIM?!"

"Believe it, Naruto-san."

"A...ahaha...ahaaa," Naruto nervously laughed, "T-this is...just a mistake, 'ttebayo."

"Hai, hai~ whatever you say, Naruto-san."

'Tsk. Dobe.' Sasuke thought before he turned to his brother, "What are you doing here, Nii-san?"

Itachi shifted his gaze from the trio to him, "Okaa-san wanted to have dinner with your new teammates. Also with you, Kakashi-san." He said.

Kakashi blinked before he shrugged, "Nope, sorry. I'm busy."

"Okaa-san won't take no for an answer, Kakashi-san. I think you already know what she would do if you won't come." Itachi stated, raising an elegant brow in a challenging manner.

"A-ah... of course I do, Itachi-san." The Jonin said while closing his book.

"She won't tolerate your so-called 'excuses' too." The heir reminded him.

"Hai, hai. I'll try not to be late....much." Kakashi said while adding the last part in a sarcastic tone.

Sasuke felt his left eye twitch in irritation, 'Much?! Just how long is he gonna be late?!'

"Well, ja." Poof! And, the Jonin was gone.

"Anyways, Naruto-san, Sakura-san, will you be able to come tonight?" Itachi asked the duo.

"Of course, Dattebayo!"

"Sure."
