Sam's POV
Thursday evening (June 12, 2016) I'm sitting on my couch in my apartment with my suitcase ready for my brother and my boyfriend to come and pick me up. Let me tell you about my side of the story. I'm sure everyone has heard of VFC, right? Well, if you haven't, their full name is Varsity Fanclub. They're a band that was form in 2006 with my brother, Drew Ryan Scott. The members: Drew Ryan Scott, Jayk Purdy, Thomas Fiss, Bobby Edner (Spy Kid), and David Lei Brandt. I called Bobby Spy Kid because I recognized him from the Spy Kid Game Over movie. If I don't have my history a bit hazy, I believe in 2008, Thomas Fiss left VFC to become a solo artist. The band had replaced him with TC Carter. Bobby had decided to quit the band but Drew kept me in the dark about it because it seemed bad. But they managed fine as a four member band. They had disbanded in February of 2012. During those six years, Drew's band member/friend, David Lei Brandt and I had gotten to be very close and the greatest best friends. When he decided to leave the band at the beginning of 2012, I understood his decision but since that day, I lost my best friend. I haven't heard from him for almost four years now.
On June 22, 2012, my brother and his remaining two friends (Drew, TC, and Jayk) created a new band, After Romeo. TC gotten one of his best friend, Blake English, from Athens, Georgia to join the band. Drew found Devin Fox at a music workshop in LA that he attended and asked him to join. Since I've been hanging out with After Romeo, Blake English and I had gotten close. Come to find out, Blake and I knew each other from grade school. So a week after the band was formed, we started dating each other and we're still going strong. On June 5, 2015, last year, Devin had announced that he was leaving the band. I was going to miss him since I picked on him a lot. The guys and I supported him in what he was doing. It's a year later and the guys were putting on a show in Vegas with a special guest star, and Drew wouldn't tell me who it was. I do still miss my good friend David, but it's been four years and five months. I don't think I'd even recognize him if I was to meet up with him somewhere if he called. My phone rang and I checked who it was.
"Blake, are you and Drew on your way?" I asked as I picked up.
"There's been a change of plans," Blake sighed.
"Blake, what happened?" I asked. "We were supposed to celebrate your birthday tomorrow since the concert is on the day of your birthday."
"Our manager needed us in Vegas at the last minute and we're already halfway there," Blake sighed. "Drew did reserve you a plane ticket under your name so all you have to do is get to the airport tomorrow and get on the 8am flight to Vegas. I'll pick you up at the airport myself." I sighed. "And we'll still have all day to hang out."
"You promise?"
"I do," Blake stated. "I love you, alright?"
"I love you too," I smiled and hung up. "Drew, I'm seriously going to kill you when I see you tomorrow." It was getting late so I went to bed. Friday morning I woke up at 6:30pm and got dressed in denim shorts, a black spaghetti strap tank, black vans, and light brown cardigan. I went to the airport in a cab and check my suitcase in and boarded my plane. "It's just for an hour, Sam."
A guy sat next to me. He seemed familiar but I didn't wanna be wrong if he wasn't. "Hi," said the guy.
"Hi," I smiled.
"Is Vegas your stop or is it a layover?" he asked.
"It's my stop," I nodded. "My boyfriend and brother wasn't able to pick me up for the drive to Vegas so he bought me a plane ticket." I sighed. "I just wanted to be there because my boyfriend's birthday is tomorrow but he has a performance and we are going to hang out all day today." The guy and I talked on our way to Vegas. We landed. "Well, thanks for being a great plane buddy."
"No problem -"
"Samaria," I smiled as I walked a few feet away. I turned and looked at him. "But everyone calls me Sam." I walked into the airport and got my suitcase. I saw Blake. I ran up to him and gave him a hug. "Hey you!"
"Hey," Blake smiled as he spun me around. "Ready to do whatever?"
"Yeah," I smiled. "Let's go." Blake grabbed my left hand with his right and get my suitcase with his left. "What are we going to do today?"
"I don't care," Blake smiled as we got to his Scion. He put the suitcase in the trunk and opened the passenger door for me. I looked at him. "What?"
"How did I get such an amazing guy?" I asked.
"I was raised this way," Blake smiled as I got in and he closed the door. He got in and started driving. "So, where do you wanna go?"
"Actually, I really hungry," I replied. "I didn't have anything on the plane."
"Where do you wanna go?" Blake asked. I looked at him, like really? He just chuckled. "I know you want sushi."
"You know I do," I smiled as my phone rang. I looked at it. "It's Drew." I picked up. "Yes?"
"Can you two love birds get your butt home?" Drew asked. "I have something to ask you."
"Yeah," I sighed and hung up. "Drew needs us." Blake drove us to my parents house. Blake followed me inside with my suitcase. "Drew, I'm home."
"Sam," Mom smiled as he hugged me.
"Hey Mom," I smiled. "Where's Dad?"
"He went to the store," Mom smiled.
"Okay," I nodded. "Where's Drew?"
"In the kitchen," Mom nodded.
"Drew!" I called. I ran to the kitchen and jumped onto his back. "Hey big bro."
"You're still as light as a feather," Drew smiled as I got off. "I have a very huge favor to ask of you."
"What's up?" I smiled. Drew held up a piece of paper. I looked at it. "Where did you get that?"
"You share a song book with me, Sam," Drew smiled. "After reading this, I knew you had written it about our relationship." I smiled. "So, can you please open our concert with this song?"
"I don't have a -"
"You do have it laid down on a track," Drew smirked. "Come on, Sam. The studios have cameras, you know."
"I hate you," I sighed. "But yeah, I'll open with Home Is You."
"Can you close with us and our special guest?" Drew asked.
"Can I know who the special guest is?" I asked.
"Nice try and no," Drew smiled. "We're going to be singing Lost Then Found."
"Yeah," I nodded. "I'll do that with you." I smiled as Blake walk in. "Now, let's go before Drew decides to have rehearsal."
"I'm next, aren't I?" Drew asked.
"In four days," I smiled as I pulled Blake out of the house. We got into his car and he started driving. "Okay."
"You still hungry?" Blake asked.
"But not for sushi," I nodded. "I want a burger from Burger King. A whopper sounds nice." Blake got both of us one and we sat in the parking lot and ate for a while. I finished mine. "Okay, so, why?"
"Why?" Blake asked.
"Why won't anyone tell me who the special guest is?" I asked.
"Drew wants it to be a surprise to you. Just got with it. He seemed to persuaded this person to come with a lot of begging so wait."
"Drew? Begging? Are you sure your not taking about a different Drew?"
"I'm positive," Blake nodded. He started driving after he finished his burger. "Which reminds me, we're going shopping."
"For?"
"What do you mean for? We have the concert tomorrow and Drew wants you to look great."
"I thought it was TC's job."
"It is but TC isn't dressing you. He's dressing us guys for our performance. This one is all you."
"Okay, but I'm still wearing that silver jacket I took from Drew."
"That silver jacket's Drew's?"
"Yeah," I nodded as Blake parked in the parking lot. He held my hand and we walked around. "I took it from him in 2011 and fixed to to wear it'll fit me and fits my style."
"You write music, you play guitar, you're an amazing dancer, and you can basically make your own clothes," Blake smiled. "You're my little superstar."
"Yeah, the superstar who stepped down to be a detective," I nodded. "Be glad that my boss approved this vacation or I wouldn't be here for the next four months."
