Drew's POV
David walked into the home an hour after Sam left. "Hey man," I smiled. We did a bro hug. "What took you so long? You just missed Sam like an hour ago."
"Rental dude," David replied. "I even met this awesome girl on the plane."
"I don't even wanna know," I replied.
"She said her name was Samaria but I didn't think it could be our Sam," David shrugged. "Are you sure she doesn't know?"
"Positive," Drew nodded. "You'll stay in the back until the end of the concert." The concert day finally hit us. Sam was in black skinny jeans, black flats, a white cami, and a silver jacket. I honestly thought the silver jacket looked familiar. I looked out the door and handed Sam and mic. "You ready, little sis?"(Minus the scarf and handbag)
"Yeah," Sam nodded. "Let's do this." She walked out on the stage and sat down on the stool. "Before I open, I want to tell you my story." She smiled. "When I was 12 years old, I bounced from city to city and even flew to foreign countries just to share an amazing life with my brother." She gestured me to join her. I did. "For ten years I followed this guy and his friends around to see what he loves to do. And in doing so, I fell in love with the passion of music as well. Now, I'm a LAPD detective who asked for time off to take one last adventure with them before building up my career. I plan on going federal, which means I won't be able to see my boys much anymore." I sighed as Sam stood up. I sat down. "So this song is called Home Is You. It pretty much describes our relationship as brother and sister." She looked at me. "And to get one fact straight, I didn't write the song. Megan and Liz did and I asked if I could write it down to learn it and they let me. So, I got you there but I changed a few words so that it would describe our relationship."
"Sneaky," I smiled. "That's why she's a detective."
The music started and a homemade video started playing on the big screen of all the small videos and pictures we took since 2006. "Favorite person in the room, no matter were we go. Highs and lows and inside jokes and secrets no one knows," Sam smiled. "Love doesn't need a reason and time doesn't mean a thing. As long as I have got you here with me." I stood up and put my left arm around her. She put her right arm around me. "Time zones, different roads. If I ever lose my way, I'm not alone. One will do, but we're better off as two. 'Cause home isn't a place, home is you." Sam smiled. She let go of me. "Read or minds and waste our time and laugh 'til we can't breathe." I spun her around. "Steal his jackets but I always know he can't stay mad at me." I looked at her with a confused face but she hugged me. "I know that things are changing and I know they can't stay the same. He's the reason for who I am today." I hugged her and we swayed side to side. "Time zones, different roads. If I ever lose my way, I'm not alone. One will do, but we're better off as two. 'Cause home isn't a place, home is you." I spun her around again. "If I ever lose my way, I know where to run to. Home isn't a place, home is you." The tempo slowed down. "Home isn't a place, home is you."
The music faded out and the fans cheered and clapped. "You steal my jackets?" I asked. "I thought I got them all back."
"Recognize the one I'm wearing?" she asked.
"So you make your own clothes too?" I asked.
"I love you?" she shyly smiled.
"Like you sang, I can't stay mad at you," I nodded. "We aren't going to keep you guys waiting any longer."
"Here is After Romeo," Sam smiled and got off stage.
We did our performance. "Before we end the show, we are going to bring Sam back up here," I smiled. Sam got back onstage. "She's going to sing a VFC song with us. I mean, I took her around the world with me for ten years and she was only twelve at the time. She's twenty two now." She nodded. "The least I could do is bring back some teenage memories. She did graduate at sixteen because of online schooling, but let's not worry about that."
"Here is Lost Then Found," Sam smiled.
The music started and we did the dance. Blake stood to the side because he knew how I wanted David to be her main focus. I didn't want him standing out but he offered and wanted to make it special to be reunited with her best friend. "You don't gotta worry anymore. Girl, I gotta feeling since you walked through the door," Jayk sang. "That we don't need nobody but the two of us. Just you and me against the world." I smiled. "We don't gotta look for, is so hard. You and me were lost, now we're in each other's arms." Sam nodded. "Finally we found something that we can hold. And I can't let out go, 'cause now..."
"Tell me how," Sam sang.
"Lost in your love now it's pull me in. Searching for some kind of sign to begin," we sang. Sam looked at me with a confuses face because she heard David's choice. I just sent her a shrug and she kept singing. "Caught in your world now I'm turned around. Now that you got me lost then found. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking. Now that you got me lost then found. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking."
"Now that you got me lost then found," I smiled.
"I don't go to see it to believe. All that I got to know is that you never would leave," Sam sang. "And you don't need a story of how my heart broke. 'Cause I can tell you already know."
"I know he treats you, it's so bad. I can almost hear all of the things that he said," I sang. "We don't need to spend even one minute longer thinkin' bout the past. We doesn't kill us makes us stronger now."
"Lost in your love now it's pull me in. Searching for some kind of sign to begin," we sang. "Caught in your world now I'm turned around. Now that you got me lost then found. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking. Now that you got me lost then found." Jayk spun Sam around and she smiled. "I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking."
"Now that you got me lost then found," I smiled.
Sam was about song saying until another voice cut her off. "Whenever you're lost at sea, baby, just call for me. 'Cause you know I'll be calling for you," David walked onto the stage singing. "Whenever you turn the page, dance on another stage. Know in this life I'll be dancing with you."
"Took me you got me, and turned me around," sang David and Sam. "Now, look what we found."
"Lost in your love now it's pull me in. Searching for some kind of sign to begin," we sang. "Caught in your world now I'm turned around. Now that you got me lost then found. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking." Sam smiled as her and David just smiled and looked at each other. "Now that you got me lost then found. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking. I'm looking and your looking."
"Now that you got me lost then found," I smiled.
The tempo slowed down and faded just enough so that Sam's soft voice wouldn't drown out the music. "Lost in your love now it's pull me in. Searching for some kind of sign to begin," she softly sang. "Caught in your world now I'm turned around. Now that you got me...lost then found..."
The music ended and I looked at Sam. She attacked David with a passionate hug and the fans awed. They swayed side to side a bit. "I've missed you, David," Sam smiled as she let go of him.
"Don't cry," David smiled as he wiped away her tears.
"Four years and five months," she nodded. "Now we've been reunited."
"Surprise," I smiled. Sam hugged me. "I knew you've missed your best friend and I thought it'll be great. David's your late birthday gift."
