Sam's POV
We went back to Mom's and Dad's. They were cooking dinner as we all sat in the living room. "I sat next to you on the plane," I replied. "Still can't believe I didn't recognize your eyes. You've changed so much."
"You've grown up," David nodded in agreement. "Is there anything new going on with you? Other than the fact that you, changed, in a good way."
"Uhm, I'm a LAPD detective," I nodded. "Blake and I have been in a relationship for four years on June the 29th." I thought about it. "And I've been missing my best friend who just happens to come back into my life."
"Awh," David smiled. He put his right arm around me and pulled me close. It was like a side hug but he kept me there. "The hug you gave me onstage. I've missed those."
"Well, that's how much I've missed you," I smiled. "Hey Blake. David had actually danced for GaGa."
"Really?" Blake smiled. "She's bae."
I smiled. "You're not going to get mad at him for saying that?" David asked.
"Why should I?" I asked. "We're loyal to each other."
"Besides, I wouldn't drop Sam for no one," Blake nodded. "She's my true bae."
"Dinner's ready," Dad called.
"Let's go," I smiled. We all sat at the table and started eating. "I still can't believe the guest star was David. So when I thought I was hearing his voice, I was actually hearing his voice."
"Yeah," TC nodded as I put my phone beside me on the table. "You were so confused."
"I thought I was missing David a little too much and it was all in my head," I smiled. Everyone chuckled. "At least now I know I'm still sane. Geez, I was thinking I need to get another psych eval when I go back to the precinct."
My phone started ringing. "Oh uh," Jayk replied. "Case alert."
"This late?" Drew asked.
I picked up, "Go ahead, Captain."
"The feds are headed to Vegas and they expect you to be at the LVPD at nine am sharp," Captain Vince replied. "Look for an Agent Aaron Hotchner when you get there. They are doing an exclusive interview with you." I nodded. "This is the once in a lifetime chance you were looking for to go federal. You won't get another chance until you reach requirements."
"Thank you, Captain," I smiled. "I appreciate everything you've done." I hung up. "Well, uhm, I have an interview tomorrow at the LVPD at 9am."
"You're moving back home?" Mom asked.
"Not exactly," I nodded. "The FBI is requesting an interview with me." I put my phone down. "I think my captain sent in a recommendation letter and didn't read the fine print that says 4 months from now."
"I'm sure that did but they disregard that because they know your the best," David nodded. "You're the best in everything you do. It's a once in a lifetime chance to have the feds come to you than you go to them." I looked at David. "If I have to, I'll hog tie you myself to get you to that interview."
"I like you, man," Blake smiled.
"Blake," I stated as I threw a piece of corn at him. "Stop."
"You're car isn't here," Drew replied. "How do you expect to get around Vegas?"
"Me and my car," Blake stated as I pointed at him. "It's always me and my car when she doesn't have hers."
"She's always with you," TC replied.
We finished our food and I was doing dishes when everyone was in the living room talking. David was helping me. "Why don't you go in there and talk to everyone?" I asked.
"Where I'm from, the cook doesn't do the dishes," David smiled as he dried the dishes I finished.
"I didn't cook now, did I?" I smiled as I washed my hands and dried them off. "So, what have you been up to so far?"
"Writing and singing," David nodded. "Mostly dancing." I nodded. "But now I'm here with you." David picked me up and spun me around. "My best friend in the whole wide world."
"I've just missed you so much," I smiled as I hugged him. "Remember the time you slide on the slide at the McDonald's in South Vegas and got your boxers wet?"
David blushed a slight shade of pink. "Yeah, let's not mention that," he nodded.
"Sam," Blake poked his head in. "Let's turn in."
"Okay," I nodded. Blake and David followed me up to my room. My old bunk bed was still there: twin over full. David took the twin bed and I took the full bed. Blake sat on his side of the full bed as David got on the top bunk. I put my suitcase on the bed and opened it. "Any idea what we're doing tomorrow?"
"No," Blake sighed.
"Drew said something about bowling," David nodded. "He wasn't clear about the plans and was going to make it clear in the morning." I sighed. "Why?"
"I wanna have my outfit picked out so I don't have to rush," I sighed. I picked up a blue and black scarf. "This is yours." I threw it at David. "I forgot i had that."
"I was looking for this for three months," David replied. "How'd you get it?"
"Christmas 2009, when it started snowing, you wrapped it around me when I was cold because I was only wearing a light sweater," I smiled. "That was the year you dressed up Chloe as the reindeer dog. I miss the dog. How's she doing by the way?"
"She's with my parents," David nodded. "Still going strong."
"That's good," I nodded.
"Also, put thought in about your outfit because you have that interview tomorrow," Blake nodded.
I heard something hit my balcony doors. "What the hell?" I sighed. I opened my doors and walked out to my balcony. I looked over the ledge. "Drew, go to sleep."
"Late night swim?" Drew asked.
"No," I sighed. "Look, just get some sleep." I walked back into my room and closed the doors. "Okay." I walk back to my suitcase and lifted a pair of my skinny jeans. There laid a red box with a black bow. I picked it up and handed it to Blake. "Happy birthday, babe."
"You didn't have to get me anything," Blake nodded. "You already give me so much just by being happy."
"I'm afraid it's non-refundable," I sighed.
Blake nodded and pulled me into his lap. "Let's see what you got me," he smiled. He opened the box and got out a watch. "You got me a watch?"
"Now you don't have to worry about looking at your phone every now and then is saying your battery is running out," I smiled. "You have an actual watch now. Make sure you use it. Look at the engraving on the back of the face."
Blake turned it over, "You're my one and only sunshine. The sun can't even compare to your smile. Te amo, Sam."
"I love you, Blake," I nodded. David left the room and slammed the door a bit. Blake looked at me and raised a brow. "He'll get over it. I'll talk to him later about it."
"Why does he act like he owns you?" Blake asked.
"He's been my best friend for six years, Blake," I sighed as I stood up. "We lost contact for four years and we've been together for four years. How would you feel if you were in his position?"
"Find a new best friend?" Blake asked. I looked at him. "What?"
"Look, TC has been your best friend for like ever," I sighed. "That's how David and I are. We can't be separated and after four years, I owe it to him to make up for lost time."
"You can't fit four years of lost time into a three months vacation," Blake looked at me.
"Watch me," I nodded. "Me and you fit two 11 years TV shows into a week and a half." I looked at Blake. "I think I can manage to save my friendship with David in the four months we have."
"Are we going to be spending any time together on tour? Or are you going to use that time for David as well?"
"What is wrong with you? Ever since David showed up, you decided to have an attitude with me," I looked at him. "Right now, your not the Blake English I got to know and love for four years."
"What do you expect me to do?" Blake asked. "Say oh yeah! My girlfriend will be fine with David. It's not like he's going to do anything?" I crossed my arms. "Sorry if I feel like I'm going to lose my girlfriend."
"To David?" I asked. "You really think I'm going to leave you?" Blake shrugged. "I've never hurt anyone because I'm the one who ends up getting hurt "
