The lost wolves of the Volkov Palace

Chapter 5

Nyx PoV
I opened the door hidden under the tapestry and crept through.As I made my way through the small tunnel passageway I found another door, so I opened it and it lead to Arias room! So I told her and she came. With me we soon realised that the tunnels went round the whole palace.
I soon found we were in a corridor when a door slammed shut because of the wind coming through the big window. As I tried to get it open, well I could not.
"aria I'll find a way round Kay ?" I said.
"Yeah, wait lets just try and find our way back separately Nyx we'll be fine right?" She said.
"Totally see you in a bit then Aria."
I started walking down the hallway.
Arias PoV
I walked down the corridor and then down some stairs, not quite sure where I was going but eh?
" hey it's Aria right," I heard a voice say.
Oh it was Brandon!
"Well princess now right ?" He said.
" yeah I guess so " I replied.
" you know I should not be talking to you Princess Aria I'm a servant here you are royalty" he said.
" I don't care you seem nice" I said with a smile.
" well Your majesty what are you doing out of bed?"
" um me and Nyx were wondering about the palace"I said.
"Or in other words you found the secret tunnels," he said smirking slightly.
"Yeah Nyx found it "" I said with a blush rising on my cheeks.
He then spoke again." Let's me take you back to your room gorgeous " he then winked. What why was he winking?
And why did he call me gorgeous?
He then took me back to my room. He said good night and left me there. But Nyx was not back yet?
Nyx PoV
I wondered about the palace, I had no intention going back to my room to be honest. When I heard footsteps, so I did the only thing I could I went through the first door I could see, but It lead me outside! As I tried to open the door. I couldn't ! Why are all the doors so bad I'm this place?
Even though I was in a night dress I was not cold. I always felt as if there was fire in my soul keeping me warm, but then ice captivated my heart.  And I think it is why the cold always seemed to like me.
I then heard the howls.
Wolves. 
Arias POV
I heard howls.
I went to my window.
I could see a figure...
It was Nyx!
I ran out quickly.
"Nyx be careful!" I screamed.
" but don't you see we are home". She whispered I could barely here her.
" I stepped forward slightly. Standing next to her.
" I feel it. The fire, the ice, the earth, the air. "I whispered.
" I've felt it for so long Aria, I new it was important, but it was never clear." She said louder.
"The wolves who are thee Volkov blood will run in the moonlight till morning has risen." She spoke
Lightly.
" the wolves of Volkov blood shall never stop, till thee has found the meaning of our hearts true howling cry." I whispered.
" it was there on the wall. We are Volkov blood." She said.
" well then what are we."I asked.
" Volkov means Wolf.
We are Wolf blood.
And I shall howl till morning has come." She said again in a whisper.
" shall we?"
We shared a look.
And we erupted into howls with the wolves crying there hearts out with us.
