ARIA's POV
I was getting ready for the ball.
With the help of Polly, who is my new lady's maid. I think I looked quite nice to be honest.
My dress was amazing to be honest. It was a lovely light blue colour with sparkles on it.
Polly soon left me alone, seeing as I was done getting ready for the ball.
Nyx's POV
My dress was beautiful.
The ball was only 20 minutes away.
I had gotten so many lovely presents for my birthday.
So why was I so unhappy?
I could feel it.
Death was coming.
The wolves howled, but so sadly.
Like something was pulling on there.
Tearing there spirit to shreds. Making them depressed.Abd u new that was me because they new.
They new, that the Volkov princess was going to be seeing death ever so soon.
But the worst part is.
I was ready for it.

Arias POV
I was so happy! Today had been so much fun!! As I thought this. I heard the door open.
It was Brandon!!!!
He kissed me and I of course kissed him back. When we came apart he got a small package out his pocket.
He held it up and gestured for me to open it up . So I did.
" Oh my goodness! This is amazing! I love it!!"
It was a necklace with a sun on it. I loved  it!! We shared some more kisses till I realised I had to go otherwise I would be late for the ball.

Nyx's POV
As i walked into the ball, all eyes were on me. My dress looking graceful as I walked.
I breathed in, as I saw another demon. And that's when I noticed, they were everywhere. There evil eyes staring at me like a lion stalks its prey.
Aria seemed to be a natural at this, talking to theses people and all. She always had been the slightly more social one. I put in a fake smile as some people started to talk to me.

AN ( lady not Nyx , the dress is what Nyx is wearing)

People would give me compliments and talk to me.
Say that it was an goner to meet me and everything.
Arias POV
People talked to me saying I looked gorgeous and such. Then saying it was pleasure to meet me.

Then the dancing started, I wish I could dance with Brandon, but sadly I can't can I. Random men would ask me to dance with them and I would. Nyx looked like she was in living hell, she was very good at dancing and all but she was stuck with some duke from the east of Russia.The night wore on and I had to admit . I was having a nice time.
Wait where's Nyx gone?
Nyx's POV
I needed some air. So I left the ball room Quietly and went out side . You could still hear the music from out here.
I heard footsteps so I looked up to see Dmitri.
" You look beautiful you know princess" he said in his husky voice. 
" thank you Dmitri"
" Now princess do I get a dance" he said with his signature smirk.
" Of coarse" I replied with a small smile playing on my lips.
As we danced away, outside so no body would see us. The snow fell looking like diamonds.
And I new I had found love.
His eyes.
His smile.
His hair .
The way he walked, talked and simply was.
I had fallen for him. There was no denying it.
And that's when he spoke.
" I think I'm falling for you princess?" And before I could reply. His lips crashed with mine.
I loved him.
After finally pulling apart to breath.
I said " why Dmitri would you want to be with me. I am going to die for heavens sake!"
" I don't care princess, I shall treasure the time. We have together for the rest of my life." He spoke gently.
And that's when I heard the howls. And I knew it was time. And I think Dmitri knew too.
So I ran.
Arias POV
Guests were going to there rooms now and it was just My grandmother and I.
" Have you seen Nyx Grandmother?"
" no dear I have not"
"Your majesty's its Princess Nyx and Dmitri there running onto the snow plains. Towards the wolves!" Brandon shouted desperately.
" what !" I shouted loudly and with that I was running outside with Brandon and my grandmother close behind.
