Three days have passed since the last encounter with Giovanni, he hasn't showed his face since then. I hope he really chose to do something else with his life.

"Hey Kat are you ready to challenge the Elite Four?" Gary asked me as I walked out of the Pokemon Center with him and Sabrina.

"Definitely. I want to become the Champion of Kanto."

"Yeah but who's to say I won't win?" Gary said as he showed his eight Pokemon Badges.

"Yeah, yeah we'll see." I rolled my eyes as we finally arrived at the gates to the Pokemon League.

"You trainers, do you have eight badges?" The guard asked.

"Well Gary and I do, but Sabrina is a Gym Leader, she came to watch." He nodded and we showed him our badges before the gates opened and allowed us through.

"Wait for us!" I turned and saw Ash, Brock and Misty rushing up to the gates. Once they were through the gates closed and I looked at Ash.

"You finally got eight badges I see." He nodded and showed us.

"Congrats Ash, but you're last as always." I rolled my eyes.

"Gary leave him alone. Let's go." I started walking with Sabrina, everyone following close behind.

I registered for the league and went with Ash and Gary to the starting area with the rest of the trainers. Umbreon stayed close to my side and all I could think about was Red. I could see him at the front of the stage. I was close to the front and when he saw me he smiled.

"Let this Pokemon league begin. I Red shall greet you all with this piece of advice. Don't underestimate anyone here. Even the ones you think wouldn't get that far. You all have earned the eight gym badges of the region which means you all are strong trainers. Now let the random battles begin." I turned my head to the screen and saw my picture next to the Elite Four member, Lance. "If you were paired with an Elite Four member that means if you beat one you will move on to the next until you have earned the right to challenge me at the End of the four battles. Good Luck to all the challengers." Fireworks started and I realized my battle was first.

"Umbreon, you ready?" She nodded determined.

I won't lose, not after coming this far with everyone. I have to beat Red at whatever it takes.

"Katherine Summers and Lance of the Elite Four, take your places at the arena. All the other trainers were in the stands watching the battle from afar.

Lance smirked at me as I took my place.

"You're pretty cute for a Pokemon Trainer, if I win will you go on a date with me?" I rolled my eyes.

"In your dreams, lover boy. I came here to win not talk." I heard Umbreon growl from next to me at Lance.

"Fine. All six Pokemon are allowed in this fight. You have the honors, Princess." I glared at him. I looked at Umbreon.

"We aren't going to lose." She nodded sharply.

"Let this battle begin!" The ref called.

"Go Dragonite!" I pulled out my pokedex as an orange dragon appeared before me.

"Data unknown" I clenched my teeth.

"Guess this is going to be a fun fight. Go Articuno!" Articuno appeared and everyone stared in awe even Lance at the elegant bird in front of me. "You aren't going to back down are you?" She shook her head and flew into the sky.
