The next morning, I got up and got ready to head to the arena. As Umbreon and I headed outside I saw Gary standing there waiting for us.

"Morning Gary." He smiled.

"Morning, are you ready to face the next member of the Elite Four?" I nodded and looked towards the arena.

"More than ready."

Once we arrived at the arena I saw the matches were already up. The first battle was me again versus Agatha the next member of the Elite Four.

"Lance was a Dragon-type trainer I wonder what Agatha is." I wondered out loud.

"I hear she's a Ghost-type Trainer and that anyone who has ever faced her aside from Red has left scared to every come back to re-challenge her." I looked to where the voice came from but no one was there.

"Hmm, Ghost-type huh. Umbreon would have the type advantage because Ghost type moves don't really effect it, but still I can't misjudge this either." I walked to the arena and saw Agatha standing there, she was pretty old, but she seemed ready to fight.

"After I saw you and Lance battle yesterday I knew I wanted a chance to challenge you myself. Prepare yourself for a haunting experience." She laughed.

"Bring it!"

"Go Gengar!" She called out and I pulled out my pokedex to gain some info.

"Gengar, the Shadow Pokemon. It is said that under a full moon this Pokemon likes to mimic the shadows of people and laugh at their fright."

"Great we got a prankster." I pulled out a pokeball. "I know just the Pokemon to prank the prankster. Go Mew!" She appeared and giggled.

"So you have also obtained the most Legendary of them all. Then this shall prove to be an interesting fight. Gengar use Hypnosis!"

"Mew dodge and use Shadow Ball!" Mew moved to the side lazily and shot a Shadow Ball at Gengar, it flew back into the stadium wall and collapsed to the ground.

"Well I see Mew lives up to its reputation, the Mirage Pokemon tends to be quite the carefree Pokemon, however did you think that may the Shadow Pokemon would have been fooled by its silliness?" That's when the Gengar by the wall disappeared and Mew's shadow began Gengar. He grabbed her causing her to cry out.

"Mew!"

"Gengar use Night Shade!" I watched in horror as Mew took a Night Shade head on and fell to the ground.

"Mew Physic!" I called out and Gengar suddenly started floating.

"What?!" Agatha called out.

"Throw Gengar into the wall!" She threw him into the wall several times before letting him go and watching as he fell to the ground unconscious. She then giggled and came to my side.

"Still as mischievous as ever." I said and held her lightly in my arms.

"I must say Mew is quite something. Though Night Shade is super effective it was able to come back and win the match. Go Arbok!" A snake appeared as I returned Mew.

"Transfixing prey with the face-like pattern on its belly. It binds and poisons the frightened victim."

"Poison..." I grabbed Moltres' pokeball. "You're up Moltres!" I threw the ball and he appeared in all his glory.

"The Fire Lord is it then. Arbok use Screech!" I covered my ears as the high-pitched sound hurt my ears as well as my Pokemon's.

"Moltres use Flamethrower!" The flames broke through the Screech and caused Arbok to go flying into the wall before collapsing to the ground unable to battle.

"Hm, I see Moltres is quite strong to knock Arbok out with just a single attack." I dropped to my knees feeling weak from the Screech. Moltres turned and came to my side in seconds. My head was ringing and all I could do was breathe heavily as my vision blurry from the massive pounding in my head.

"Kat..." Umbreon muttered.

"I'm okay, I just needed to catch my breath. I'm ready to go." I got up and looked at Moltres. 'Thanks, get a good rest." He disappeared worried still.

"If you're alright then we can continue. Go Haunter!" Another Ghost Pokemon appeared and again I pulled out my pokedex.

"Haunter, the Gas Pokemon. If you get the feeling of being watched in darkness when nobody is around, Haunter is there."

"Alright, let's go Arcanine!" I had raised Arcanine until I finally had decided Growlithe was ready to evolve. He stood before me a proud Pokemon.

"Hm I see you have other Pokemon aside from Legendries. You should have continued with them. You would stand a chance against me."

"Don't underestimate me. It will be your downfall!"

"Haunter Confuse Ray!" A ray appeared around Arcanine and he started jumping around confused.

"Arcanine snap out of it!" I called out and he focused on my voice. "Just listen to my voice and focus on Haunter with your other senses. When you find him use Overheat!" Agatha stunned and shaken by my confidence never expected Arcanine to land a direct hit with Overheat and send Haunter into the wall next to her.

"How...?" She dropped to her knees amazed.

"Haunter is unable to battle and the winner is Katherine Summers!" The ref called out. Arcanine came to my side and I hugged him tightly.

"You did great, all the training we did paid off."

"I admit defeat; you are one strong trainer. Maybe even strong enough to beat red." Agatha said coming up to me with Haunter. I shook her hand gently and looked at where Red was sitting, he was smiling and I knew he was cheering for me to win so I could battle him.

"Two more and I'll battle you Red. Then we'll see who's the strongest trainer in Kanto." I said and he nodded lightly.

I headed to the stands and saw Ash and Gary take their places at the arena.

"Gary vs. Ash. I wonder who will come out on top." I said lightly.

"It certainly will be an interesting fight none the less." Sabrina stated and I could see Brock nodding.
