"Just come downstairs!" Jamie shouted from the bottom of the staircase.
"I don't want to. I feel stupid!" I yelled back. Looking down at the bright yellow dress the stylist had picked out for me. It was literally a bright yellow lemon colour and made me look ridiculous.
"Babe just come down! I bet you look gorgeous!" he yelled. I could tell he was getting frustrated with me as I often took quite a while to get ready. And this was a huge event! It was the premiere for City Of Ashes and there would be cameras, paparazzi, fans and more! I groaned before opening the bedroom door and walking out into the hallway. I reached the top of the stairs and found Jamie staring back up at me. I pulled the hem down, stretching it as far as it would go. A small smirk appeared on his face. I could tell he was holding back the urge to laugh.
"See! I told you I look ridiculous!" I exclaimed, crossing my arms over my chest and huffing. His laugh sounded through the house, making me feel even more embarrassed. He ran swiftly up the stairs, grabbing my hand in his.
"Come on." He whispered, "Let me pick you something out." He entwined our fingers, but not before pressing a soft kiss to my cheek. He pulled me to the bedroom and released my hand. I pulled down the hem of my dress again, it having risen up again. His arms began digging through my wardrobe, searching for something for me to wear. I sat myself down on the bed and scrolled through Twitter. I glanced at the clock at the top of my screen. 5:47pm.
"Jamie! The limo's going to be here at 6 and I still have to match my makeup!" I moaned.
"Okay okay! Calm down!" He said, turning round with a few dresses slung over his arm. I stood up from the bed so he could place them down.
"Now...which one?" He asked, raking his fingers through his perfectly styled golden blonde hair. I watched as his arm muscles rippled during the action.
"This one!" He exclaimed, pulling out a deep blue coloured dress.
"Perfect!" I said, grabbing it. I slipped off the other, disastrous piece of material, Jamie's eyes watching me hungrily. Lowering the new dress over my body, it flowed all the way to the floor, making my figure look almost flawless.
"Now. You go pick me shoes and I'll do my makeup!" I said, turning to rush to the bathroom.
"Wait!" His hand grabbed my forearm, pulling me back into his body heat. "We have a little time don't we?" His voice was soft and low, warm breath fanning over my face. My eyes fluttered closed, leaning into the feel of his soft hand on my cheek. I could feel his face inching closer and closer to mine, before I closed the gap, connecting his lips with mine. We both moved slowly, feeling every ounce of passion placed into the kiss. Both his hands were now on either side of my face, holding me to him in an almost protective fashion. I broke off, removing his hands from my face.
"I love you and all, but I need to get ready!" I laughed, pushing him out the bedroom door.
It didn't take me long to do my makeup. I knew the stylist would adjust it when I arrived at the studio.
"Nicole?" I heard Jamie's voice echo through the house. The limo beeped outside.
"Coming!" I yelled back, fluffing my hair and adding the finishing touches. I gathered some of my dress up in my hand, enabling me to walk a bit quicker. I stepped slowly down the stairs, feeling Jamie's eyes on me every step.
"My God Nicole. You look....incredible." he whispered as I walked closer to him.
"Thank you." I smiled, my cheeks flushing red. He hand me my shoes, bending down to place them on, Cinderella style. I giggled as he softly tickled my toes as he did so.
"Now." He said, straightening up. I linked my arm through his, ready to go. "Let's go show the world what a beautiful girlfriend I have."
