*Emily's POV*
"Where are we going?" I laughed as Trevor drove, his eyes glimmering with excitement. This morning he had woken me up and told me to get dressed, not giving me a single clue to where we were going.
"It's a surprise." he grinned for the millionth time today.
"Urgh fine, don't tell me." I huffed sitting back in my seat and crossing my arms.
"Hey, don't be mad." he smirked, his hand moving from the steering wheel to squeeze my knee. "It's a great surprise."
"It better be." I retorted, sticking my tongue out at him.
I took his hand from my knee as he laughed, entwining my fingers with his. The sun was shining brightly and the roof of our car was down, the wind sending my hair in all different directions. I couldn't help but smile as I took in a deep breath, the sun hitting my face, my sunglasses blocking the bright rays. I could feel Trevor's eyes watching me closely as I embraced the day. Girls by The 1975 blared from the radio, my lips automatically beginning to sing along, my arm reaching out and dancing in the wind.
Everything about this was perfect. I had my favourite song, the nicest weather and the perfect boyfriend with me. My feet were kicked up onto the dashboard, the red Converse on my feet contrasting with the black of the car.
"Almost there." Trevor yelled over the music, lifting my hand up to his lips and kissing them softly.
I smiled at his gentle touches, each one loving and romantic. The wheels of the car crunched on the gravel on the ground as we turned off the main road onto the beach road. I couldn't control my grin as we pulled up. He knew I loved the beach, everything about it.
"So." he spoke as the car stopped, the music cutting off as the engine switched off. "You, me, picnic on the beach."
I lent forward, over the middle console, smashing my lips to his. The kiss was slow, passionate, everything I would want in a kiss.
"This is perfect. Thank you." I whispered as we pulled apart.
"You're perfect Emily." he smiled back.
One last kiss was pressed to my lips before he climbed out of the car. I opened the car door, following his lead.
He led me down to the beach, where our day was spent relaxing, dipping our toes in the sea, eating food and just being together. The sun was slowly going down as we made our way back to the car. I ran ahead, reaching the car before him.
I lent back onto the front of the car, the air turning cold as the sun gave it's last look on the day. Finally Trevor arrived, the picnic basket clutched tightly in his hands. He walked over to where I was stood, my back against the car. Immediately he dropped the basket, his hands clutched my waist as he leant me back, so I was laying on the car.
"You. Are. Perfect." his whispered, pressing a kiss to my neck with each word. His lips trailed up my jawline before reaching my mouth.
My hand flew up to the back of his neck, pulling him down and deepening the kiss. Today had been one of the best days ever spent. My bottom lip was pulled between the both of his, his fingers pressing into my waist.
"I love you." he smiled into the kiss.
"I love you." I repeated, pulling him down to lay next to me on the front of the car. His arms curled around me as we looked up at the stars. Each one smiling down at us, I never wanted this day to end.
