Part 31 - Lets travel in time

Bandana's POV
The Principal started talking about a very important experiment. He said that some teachers of Gurukul, made a gadget: a Time Machine. "Time Machine to tayyar h, lekin kisime himmat nhi h ki woh usko use kar sake" He said. We four looked at each other.

The assembly finished and we went to our classes. Lessons were normal and boring as usual. After a double lesson, we met in the canteen. We weren't talking.

Finally Sumedh spoke. "Kya tum log bhi wahi soch rhe ho jo me soch raha hu?" He asked. We nodded. "Guys we have a free period after the break, lets try it!" Samaira said. "No!!!" Siddharth yelled. Samaira kept her hand on his mouth. "I mean no. Yeh thik nhi hoga" He whispered. "Lekin agar woh machine sachme kaam krti h to sirf Gurukul ka nhi, balki poore India ka naam roshan ho jaega! India will be the first Country to make a time machine!" I said. Sumedh nodded. Siddharth didn't want to try it. "Kya yaar, kis fattu se pyaar kiya mene" Samaira said. "Me fattu nhi hu! I'm just saying, ki agar woh thik se na chali to?" He said. We didn't have an answer. But still we wanted to try. "Sidd c'mon yaar, life me thora risk to lena hi prta h; varna ham kabhi aage nhi jaa pate" Sumedh explained. "Please Siddharth, lets try it na" I said. Finally he agreed.

"Lekin woh h kaha?" Samaira asked. "Physics k poorane lab me" I said excitingly. "Poori tayaari krke bethi ho?" Sidd asked. I smiled and nodded. We went to the Physics lab.

The Time Machine was there. It was a really big machine. Atleast ten people could stay in it. There was a door on the left, we got in. There were many buttons, wires, screens and so on. It was actually confusing. "Ise use kese krte h!?" I said. "Are yeh dekho, Guide" Siddharth said. We opened the book and started reading.

Sumedh's POV
We learnt a lot by reading that book. "Lekin jana kaha h? I mean kis date pe?" Samaira asked. We thought for a while. "Mere janam din pe chalte h, 2nd Nov 1996" I said. Everyone agreed. "Lekin date me type krunga" Siddharth said. "Nhi me karunghi!" Samaira said. And they started behaving like children. They were fighting. We were just looking at them. In their fight they pressed three numbers in the section for year. Accidentally they also typed minus (-) and then pressed 'Go'.

Doors got locked. The machine started. We immediately sat on the seats. "Kya kiya tum dono ne!? Are date konsi type ki!?" Miss RCB and I said in unision. Even they didn't know. We didn't know where were we going and in which year were we going to land. There were some windows, so we were able to look what was happening outside.

"Are woh to Taj Hotel wala attack h!" Samaira said. We saw the attack live! The machine was actually working! We were going in the past...but how many years back!?

"Gandhiji!" Siddharth yelled. We smiled as we saw the Father of India. "Bhagat Singh!" I yelled. Oh God. We were already in those years!!! Where was the machine going!?

"Are ham Jhansi me h! Woh dekho. Woh pakka Rani Laxmibai h!!!" Miss RCB yelled. She was admiring her idol. "Mujhe yahi utaardo please!" She said. "Are Mumbai ki bus h kya? Jo kisibhi stop pe utaarde!? Yeh Machine khud rukeghi!!" I said. She bit her lower lip.

"Guys Taj Mahal ban raha h!!" Samaira said. The Taj Mahal was still incomplete. Workers were contruncting it. It was looking amazing even if it wasn't completed.

Basically in some minutes we travelled centuries. We were just looking at the amazing India. We were living history. We were also scared inside, as we didn't know in which year are we going to land.

Our history knowledge wasn't very good, so we were a bit unsure about the present century. "Woh to Qutb Minar h na?" Siddharth said. We nodded.

So this was the twist of the season. These four used a Time Machine, they weren't really serious about it...what will happen now? Will this twist make a difference in their lives? In which century will they land? Who will they meet?
