"Now." Rose growled.

I shook my head and climbed out the window, landing on my feet. I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"How the heck did I fall for a pathetic human like her?" I asked myself.

I gritted my teeth in anger and sprinted off into the dark woods. I ran and ran, my adrenaline pumping and I somehow manage not to lose my breath.

I reached my wooden house, seeing Smile laying there sleeping. It was so adorable! I whistled, waking the husky up.

"Hey Smile! Where have ya been boy?" I asked while petting his black and red coat. My mind traveled back to when I first saw Smile.

I was walking around in the middle of the night, after my daily killing session.

I heard a low growl behind me. I snapped my head back to be greeted by nothing. I shrugged my shoulder and turned around, walking again.

I passed by a bush and I heard the growling again. I growled myself and kicked the bushes.

I heard a soft whimper which made my face soften. I crouched down and peeked into the dark green bushes.

All of a sudden, a dog came flying out of the bushes and towards my face, tackling and pinning me to the ground.

"Ah! You stupid mutt!" I hissed at the dog. When I opened my eyes all the way, they were greeted by a beautiful sight - not as beautiful as me though.

It was a black and red demon-looking dog with black eyes that could burn through a persons soul. I looked at its foaming mouth and saw his huge grin.

He had human-like teeth which didn't phase me at all. I smiled and pushed the dog off me. He flinched at my touch. I kneeled down to his level and patted his greasy hair.

"Hey, there. I'm Jay, your new master." The smiling dog bowed under my touch and nodded his head. "I'm gonna call you ... Smile!"

I grinned to myself. I opened the door with a simple twist and walked in, Smile trotting behind me.

I walked to my room and stripped myself of my clothing, left in only boxers. I sighed to myself, jumping on my bed.

"I'm lonely, Smile." I groaned and rolled on my stomach. I could hear Smile running in. I glanced over at him as he stopped abruptly and started sniffing my hoodie.

I grinned then my smile faded.

"You smell Rose?" I choked out. Smile looked up at me with his ears perched up on his head.

"Who is this Rose you always talk about?" He asked me. Hm, I forgot Smile could talk.

"Um, well, she's a victim that I never killed. It was something about her that I ... I liked. No, it wasn't the fear. And it sure wasn't no love at first sight! I just, you know, like her a little. I think I might tell her how I feel ..." I suggested as my voice went quieter and quieter.

"No!" Smile barked. "Why not?" I said in a confused tone. "Because! Didn't you guys just get in a fight?" He growled in a demonic tone. I slowly nodded my head.

Smile started to blabber on about nothing I really cared about. I was about to drift off to sleep when I heard an ear piercing scream.

I shrugged it off, thinking one of us monsters got some victim.

In the middle of Smiles unnecessary speech, I walked out of the room to the kitchen.

"God! Jay, can't you put some clothes on, for Christ sake?" Smile barked. I shrugged. "My house." He followed me into the kitchen, I looked into the half empty fridge.
