"Andrea! Can you hear me?!"

The voice was faint and unfamiliar.

Who in the hell is calling me Andrea?

"Andrea! I need you to open your eyes!"

Andrea open your eyes.

Andy mocked such a simple request, but became alarmed when the simple request became a struggled task to accomplish. She managed to open her eyes to a squint, but everything was blurry.

"Andrea, I need you to look at me please."

Andy tried opening her eyes more to see if she could find where the voice was coming from. Like a camera zooming into focus, she was able to open her eyes wider, and her surroundings became more visible. She still wasn't able to see very clearly, so she went to move her arms to rub her eyes, but was met with excruciating pain in her left arm, which caused her to yell in pain.

"Don't try and move Andrea! You've been in an accident."

She heard the voice again, but this time she was able to look up and make out who was talking to her. He was about her age, maybe a few years older, wearing EMT gear, and shaggy dirty blonde hair.

"I'm going to check your eyes, just look at me please."

She tried to keep her eyes open as best as she could as he shined his flashlight briefly in both her eyes.

"Andrea, do you know what happened?"

Andy was trying to think about the details leading up to the accident. The most recent thing she could remember was laying in bed with Lily. No, she didn't know what happened, but she was sick and tired of this guy calling her Andrea.

"An... dy..." She whispered.

"Andrea, I'm sorry, can you say that again?"

"An...dy!" She managed to be more audible this time.

"Andy?"

Andy nodded her head slightly.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Andy, do you know what happened to you?"

Andy shook her head slowly and gently.

"Okay, we're going to be taking you to the hospital now."

Andy was afraid to look around, but she could feel, whatever she had been laying on, being lifted off the ground and carried until she was put on a gurney. They then wheeled her up and into an ambulance.

With the sound of the siren flooding her thoughts, it felt like the ride to the hospital had taken a century. Once they had stopped, they pulled the gurney out of the ambulance, and wheeled her into the hospital. She wasn't quite sure where she ended up in the hospital, but they quickly moved her from the gurney to a hospital bed. There were a few people in scrubs and white coats, similar to the lab coat she wore in the lab, standing around her bed. It was the short, plump, redheaded woman who was holding the slim tablet looking computer that decided to speak up first.

"I'm Doctor Blackwell, you are at the Davenport Hospital. We are going to need to do some x-rays and make sure you have no internal bleeding. Is there anyone we can call to let them know you are here?"

Her bedside manner wasn't great, she had been looking at the chart on the computer for most of the conversation, but for some reason, her voice was soothing to Andy. Andy nodded carefully to the doctor's question.

"My mom, Bonnie Payne, and Nigel Watson... they're in my phone..."

It took a lot of energy but Andy managed to let them know who to call. She, of course, wanted them to call her mother, but she also needed her best friend.
