STACY'S POV
As I sit there in class waiting for Mr. Coran to finish taking role and begin the history lesson, I heard the door open and his scent filled the air. My head snapped in that direction, and I was pretty surprised it didn't come off. He gave me a smile that made my eyes wander.
"Sorry I'm late." He flashed that smile again, this time to Mr. Coran. "Mrs. Grimms was helping my brother and I this morning." I practically drooled over that English accent. How can a guy be so lucky in looks? He stood tall and broad, muscles evrywhere you look. He had his blue eyes and brown hair, perfectly styled, too.
"Ahhh, yes, the Vermont boys. From the Moonlight Pack in England." My heart stopped when he said those words. He wasn't only from the Moonlight Pack, but a Vermont boy too? No wonder he was so good looking!
Just a little something for being a future Alpha. The words floated through my mind. I looked around. Who said that? It's me, Troy. Your mate. What's your name? I turned to look at him. He was no longer in the place he was 2 minutes ago. He was right next to me. I looked at him, my eyes carefully taking in every inch of him. He smirked. What was that? I rolled my eyes. My name's Stacy Keller.
"Troy, I see you're paying more attention to Stacy than to my lesson." I blushed when he said that. Troy just smirked. "Tell me, who was Alpha of the Crimson Pack in Paris from 1925- 1932?" He asked, waiting to be amused at Troy's answer.
His answer came as a shock to everyone. "Easy. That's Lucas Ranter, the man that came up with the phrase of the city of love for Paris, because he found his mate there." He looked around, displeased with everyone's reaction to the answer he gave Mr. Coran.
"Very good, Mr. Vermont. I assume you'll be paying more attention now to our lesson. You too, Stacy." We nodded our heads, not saying a word to eachother until class was over.
"So, when will I be able to make you mine?" he whispered in my ear, sending tingles down my neck, causing goosebumps to form and a smile on my face.
"Maybe when I want you to." I turned my head to the side, locking my grey eyes with his blue ones. Everything stopped and it felt as if we were the only ones on the planet. We both stopped in the middle of the corridor, causing kids to bump into us. My heart was beating 100 times per second and I could hear the squeals of happiness from my wolf. she was just happy looking into his eyes.
Then' out of nowhere, every thought of Sam and I came back to me. I felt like a traitor. No, a cheater. I needed to explain this to Sam.
I broke eye contact and made my way to the math corridor to explain.
What I saw was not a boyfriend that loved me. It was a boyfriend that was more of a cheater than I would ever be. I saw my bestfriend's legs wrapped around him, her hands around his neck, playing with his hair, their lips locked. I saw one of his hands playing with her hair and one holding her butt up on him. I couldn't let anything out but a whisper.
"Sam?"
SAM'S POV
I didn't mean to hurt her. that's why I lied to her. I lied about Loran being my mate. Loran didn't want to hurt her, either. She rejected me so she wouldn't hurt her. For three months she's stayed away from me, but after a week's worth of heat, she couldn't take it any longer. I knew it shouldn't have been at school, but the halls were empty and she couldn't take it one more second.
"It's not what it looks like." cliche, right?
She came stomping down the hall, hurt etched across her face. I let Loran drop to the floor lightly. "It isn't, Sam? then what is it? Because to me it looks like my boyfriend making out with my bestfriend." My heart stung and I knew she was right. "So tell me, what is it?" When I didn't answer, she looked at Loran. "What is it?"
Loran was quick to answer. "Sam's my mate." her gaze dropped to the floor. I glanced at Stacy's face and instantly regretted it. Pain was all over her face and the tears were building up.
The doors busted open and a tall, muscular guy appeared. Stacy turned to face him, the tears already streaming down her face. "Whats wrong?" worry flashed on his face. Stacy ran into his arms and burried her sobs in his chest. His expression looked thoughtful. THen his eyes turned pitch black in anger and he outstretched his arms, pushing her back until arms length back. He whispered something and looked at Loran and I with pitch black eyes and a growl ripped through his throat. He pulled her back into his embrace, causing me to hear louder cries. He kissed her forehead and when he did that, I understood that he was her mate. She probably came here to tell me, something I should've done for her.
"Sam, I think we're done." those words made my heart hurt and I got a headache. I saw black spots and welcomed the darkness as it took over me.
