STACY'S POV

I sighed as I hung up the last box of ornaments. I ran my fingers through my blonde hair and stood back. I turned the lights on the tree and looked at it in all it's glory.

The tree was absolutely beautiful. The lights were rainbow and the ornaments were home-made. It made me feel as if people weren't out to get Loran's 'kind' or Troy. It made me feel like Carter and Deacon Lix and Loran's dad, the pack doctor, weren't missing.

It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I smiled and walked to the kitchen. I made hot cocoa for my sisters, brother, and parents.

"Wow. Did Santa come early?" Stephen smiled as he saw the hot cocoa I made for him.

"No, just another fat guy in a red suit we know as Stephen." I laughed.

He fended hurt. "Gee, I don't think I'm fat." He took a sip of his hot chocolate and joined me on the table.

"Tonight, Santa will come. Finally, after two years of no Santa or Christmas with family, I'm ready." He joked.

Then it hit me. "Loran doesn't have a family this year." I frowned, realizing that her only family is her dad.

Her mother died of a car crash and her little sister, Andi, was in there with her. Her sister is alive, but she's been in a coma for four years. She is 12 now. I don't think she would be waking up by tomorrow.

"Well then invite her over." my dad walked in in his footsie pajamas and glasses with a newspaper in his hands. Don't get me wrong, he's good looking for a thirty-five year old dude, but he just looks so goofy in the morning! I mean, seriously, footsie pajamas? they're even Spongebob!

He kissed my forehead and grabbed his cocoa. "Okay!" I ran out of my seat and grabbed the home phone in the living room.

1 ring... 2 rings... 3 rings... "Hello?"

"Come over now!"

"Why?"

"Because just do it!"

And with that, I hung up and raced to the front door. I couldn't wait.

Then, the phone rang again. "What?" I growled, not looking at the caller ID.

"Woah, easy tiger. You weren't answering your celly so I got worried. What're you doing? Wait don't answer that. I'm coming over. I love you."

Well ok then.

He barged into my house and ran up to me and gave me a hug. "I love you too." I buried my face into Troy's chest.

"Hi." Loran squeaked from the door. She peeled Troy off of me and gave me a hug, then gave him a hug. "Guess what? The other doctors said that Andi has been stirring!"

"They said she was stirring last month." I snapped.

"No, my dad did. He was just hopeful. These doctors actually think she's waking up. Not by Christmas, but maybe by January!" she squealed.

"That's great!" I returned her squeal.

"Well, hello, son! How have you been?" my dad pulled Troy into a hug.

"Great, despite everything. You?" they pulled back.

I walked into the kitchen whilst they talked. I really didn't think her little sister would wake up soon. They said the same thing last year.

I made two more cups of hot cocoa and carried then out to Loran and Troy who were now on the couch talking about baby names.

"I think Ruby, Jade, and Crystal are better than Melody, Harmony, and Symphony. Don't you agree, Stace?" Troy said smugly.
