STACY’S POV

Come on, Stacy. You’ve got this. You can get this one last curl done before he gets here. I chanted to myself, hoping that the curl would finally curl after the twentieth try.  I hear the doorbell ring and take a deep breath, closing my eyes. I let go of the curling iron and open my eyes, only to see that it worked! It worked! It worked!

I rushed to my closet, finding my heels and wasting no time in putting them on. I grabbed my aqua clutch that matched my dress and almost made it out of my bedroom door, but I passed a full-body mirror, and of course I just had to look over my appearance again.

I was wearing a sweetheart floor length tulle A line aqua prom dress.  I was also wearing some black satin style stiletto heel diamante bow court shoes. My make up was darker than usual; I went for the smoky eye. My hair was curled and in a waterfall braid. I looked hot!

“Have fun at the party, we’ll be there in a little bit.” My dad said to us as we started walking out. We said our goodbyes and went to go host the party.

“You look beautiful.” Troy motioned to my dress, opening the passenger door.

“Thank you, you look really handsome yourself.” He did. He was wearing a black suit and white undershirt and black tie, a classic for a formal party. I got in and he closed the door, going around and starting the car.

When we got there, no one was there, except for ‘those people’ and the Alpha and Luna. “We don’t have entertainment! Our original entertainment group canceled! What party would this be if it didn’t have entertainment?”

“Relax, Luna. We can just play some classical music on the stereo.” I calmed Luna Daisy.

“Oh alright. I really wanted a live band though. Maybe next time. Anyways, you guys both look magnificent! How does the place look? Did we do alright?” Troy and I looked around.

We were in the meeting room, which was very big. The walls were decorated white with blue and pink alternating stripes. The tables had crochet knit table runners in the middle and were black and circular. The navy curtains were down on the stage that they have the meetings on, and the chairs were folding black chairs, probably the only not classy thing in here. There were different flowers for different tables, and there were white name tags at each place to sit. There was a dance area that took up half the room, and it had a disco ball that wasn’t turned on atop of it.

“It’s great, Luna.” Troy bowed his head in respect, and I did the same.

“Nonsense! Don’t do that! You guys are the only ones other than my husband who don't do that, and I like it for a change.” She slapped our heads up. “I’m hungry. I’m going to eat early.”

“Well, that was a bit awkward.” Troy looked at me, lifting his head up.

“Really? I thought it was quite normal.” I teased.

He laughed, “Shut up.”

*

“You can’t hide forever!” Troy stormed into the kitchen that I was hiding in. Through the crack in the two cabinets, I saw him look in the pantry, then behind the island, then in the dishwasher.

Seriously? Who hides in the dishwasher? I asked to myself. At this, I saw Troy stop looking and smile.

“Someone who’s a really good hider.” He speed walked over to the cabinets and thrust them open, exposing me. “Ha! Now you have to dance with me!”

“You’re like a really creepy obsessive freak right now, and to be honest, it’s not attractive.” I said in a snobby girl voice, getting up with the help of Troy’s hand.

“Well to be honest, you are being a stubborn asshole and it’s not very attractive.” He teased back, smiling.

I shook my head and giggled, letting him lead my to the dance area. A slow song came on. “I can’t dance, that’s why I was hiding.” I whispered, feeling my cheeks heat up.

“Just go on my feet, I’ll lead you. When you’re comfortable, take them off and do it yourself.” I did as he said and placed my feet atop of his, wrapping my arms around his neck and smiling at him.

We rocked slowly side to side with his hands on my hips. When the faster part of the song came on, we spun. Well, he spun me, causing me to get off of his feet.

“Troy!” I whisper-yelled, when we crashed into another couple. They gave us annoyed glances. “Sorry,” I apologized.

“Attention! Attention! Please give us your attention.” We stopped dancing, going back to our designated spots at our tables when we heard Alpha Brent’s voice.

Alpha Brent backed off the mic and let Luna Daisy talk, “We have some announcements to make. First, lets give a big round of applause to Stacy Keller from our pack, and Troy Vermont from the Moonlight pack. Will you please stand up?” Troy and I looked at each other and stood up. “These are the people who rescued our hostages!” Resounding claps sounded throughout the meeting room. We smiled and sat back down.

“Now, can we please have Carter and Deacon Lix stand up, as well as Samuel Keem?” They all stood up, and everyone clapped. They sat back down.

“Now we have an announcement for ourselves.” Alpha Brent came up to the mic. He wrapped his arm around a smiling Luna Daisy. They said at the same time, “We’re pregnant.” Louder cheers broke out and we all stood up.

“Is it a boy or girl?”

“You’re both prego?”

“It’s about time! You guys are 22, you should’ve had it when you were about 18!”

“I’m so happy for you!”

Is what some people in the crowd yelled. “I don’t know what it is yet, but we will find out tonight when we cut the cake. I had the doctors tell the bakers what gender it was, and then have them either put blue or pink in the cake; blue for boy, pink for girl.” Luna Daisy announced.

When she said that, the baker came rolling out a plain white cake. “There it is!” He brought it to the stage and stopped it, handing the Alpha the knife. He walked off the stage.

The Alphas grabbed the knife together and put it on top of the cake. I could practically feel the excitement in the air. Whispers were going around the room like oxygen. People were shaking with anticipation. Even the Alphas looked excited.

They went down lower…

and lower…

and lower…

Until…

“It’s a boy!”

***

I seriously didn’t plan on writing the baby part. Wow.

Anyway…

I need some appreciation! Please! I had one book up, my first book, titled “Why My Best Friend?”, and let me tell you, it was a disaster! I accidentally deleted it, but before I did, it still had more votes and comments than this one, or any of my books for that matter. WMBF is back, but way better than my last one. If you like this book, you should look at my other books.

Comment and vote! I love everyone who gives this book a shot! You can have any flavor Jolly Rancher you want!
