Nightmare

Run...

Keep running...

I was slow...

To slow...

My feet pounded against the ground, I didn't know how or why but I just knew I knew I had to get away. Away from them, they where coming and coming faster and faster. My foot cought in a tree root making me fall to the ground, pain seared through my upper leg as I looked towards it. Blood trickled down a wound open. "Get up" a voice whispered "you have to get up". I tried to get up but fell down once again, "I can't" I whispered to no one. "I can't get up" a voice was screaming in the background. Calling out my name "then let me. Let me loose Yane" I was SOS scared.

"Who are you?" The voice didn't respond as my mothers voice came even more clearer. "I am you" I threw my head back screaming in pain. Darkness flooded before my eyes, the image of my mother coming at me with a knife. Then I fell, submerged under water. I looked around my body going limp. I was unable to move, I didn't know I could breathe underwater. My body continued to fall, fall deeper into the abyss of water.

Luffy shook Yane awake, "Yane wake up! Wake up!" I gasped awake looking around, my forehead trickled with sweat. Images of what happened in my dream floods my mind, I grab the first thing I saw. And that was Luffy , "please don't leave me. Please I'm begging you, please don't leave me" I whispered as I hugged Luffy to me.

Luffys cheeks redden as he was taken back by the hug, he can hear Yane whispering words of not leaving. Putting Luffys cheeks aside he wraps his arms around Yane, "Y-Yane it's okay. I I won't leave you" Luffy gulped as he leaned his head against Yane's shoulder. Feeling her slouch against his shoulder, he can hear her sniffles. Luffy ran his hand up and down her back comforting her, "Yane everything's okay" Luffy whispered in Yane's ear.

Yane seemed to finally calm down as she realized exactly who she was hugging, worst of all Ace and Sabo walked in the room witnessing them hugging. Yane pulled away instantly her whole face was beet red as she stared at both Sabo and Ace. Her hands flailing around trying to make out words as she tumbled over her words.

Luffy couldn't contain his laughter as he burst out laughing taking the three by surprise, and soon Yane was a giggling mess her self. Sabo and Ace just walked in on them hugging and Yane was giggling about it. "I don't get it" Ace says as he drapes a towel over his shoulder "heh. Well neither do I but I think we walked into something personal" Sabo whispered to Ace as he grabbed his towel.

Ace shrugged his shoulder. "Yeah I think your right" Ace continued to satre at the two, "um are you guys finished having a shower?" Yane asks as she refuses to stare at them. Sabo nodded "yeah where finished" Yane got up grabbed her clothes and her towel. "Then I'll take a shower" Yane slips out before Luffy could reach his hand out for her. "Yane" Luffy called out, as Yane slammed the door to there room.

Yane's heart was beating as her face was completely red, shaking her head she walks towards the bathroom shutting the door softly. Yane couldn't quite remember anything, after having that awful dream it seemed to have washed away from her mind. But the question remains "why am I having nightmares?"

Yane didn't ponder to much on it, she focused on having a shower. Night rolled in as everyone got settled in on sleeping. Yane distended herself with the brothers as she looked outside through teh moonlight. She knew it was wrong to do this. Wrong to be hiding things from them but she couldn't help but do it. Yane grabbed a sheet and spread it out, dumping some food, pares of clothes and the one thing that she couldn't believe she took. A small transponder snail.

She knew what they where going to say, knew that they'd worry about her. So instead she left a note,

Dear Ace, Sabo, Dadan family and Luffy.

I'm very great full as to what you've done in taking care of me. I truly am I happy as to what you've to me these past year that we've been together. I know it's selfish of me to ask this but it seems that I can't stay here. I don't mean to offend you in anyway, there are secrets I hold in my heart I am unable to express to you. I will be back, I won't be sure how long I'll be away for but I will miss you all.

Sabo and Ace take care of Luffy. Try not to give Dadan Family a heard time.

P.s. I'll never forget what you've done to me

I sniffle wiping the tears away, I placed the note on top of the cooking pan. Went back in the room grabbing Luffys hat. I place it next to him, they all slept peacefully. Bending down I kissed Luffy on teh cheek I small tear escaped, sliding down my cheek and falling on Luffy.

I didn't want this, no I didn't. But what choice did I have, I needed answers and I knew the only answers I was able to get was from the man himself. I escaped in the cover of teh night refusing to turn back around and burn teh note, to snuggle against Luffy and sleep. I kept running, running until my power took control of me. Every step I took seemed to gray as I sucked its energy, it pumped me up as I continued running.

Running and running until my body couldn't take anymore, my body unable to keep up with so much consumption of energy. I collapsed breathing heavy as I look up the sun was peeking through the showdows of the night.
