Joey's POV
I rolled on my back when I heard my alarm goes off. I rejected the fact that it's Thursday and it is still 4 in the morning but my alarm is still on point. I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling for a while before rolling on the bed to reached for my alarm clock. I tapped it several times before it was totally dead. "Ugghhhh!!" I let out a deep breath before getting off my bed. I walked like a zombie due to lack of sleep. I planned to go back to bed but I can't. The assembly time was 6 am and I am not a morning person so I hate it.
I went to my bathroom and stayed beneath the shower without moving. I let the cold water ran down my skin and bring me to my conscious state. I scrubbed my body lazily until I finished bathing.
I stood in front my wardrobe choosing my outfit for today. Since it was a team building and it requires outdoor activities, I decided to wear something comfty. I grabbed a black centered tights that fits and shaped my butt perfectly, matched with a purple racerback tank top. I know I looked sporty but this is what comfty means to me. I tossed the clothes on top of my bed before facing the mirror and giving my natural black straight hair some beach wave finish. I put on my clothes and grabbed my bag that was filled with clothing enough for a week.
I checked the time and it is 5:45 am. 15 minutes before the call time so I hurried out my room, left a note for Sheena and quickly off of the unit. I hailed a cab and directed the driver to the office address.
"Right just on time, Joey." Sophia teased when she saw me after I got off the cab. I was stagnant for a while when I noticed how sexy and hot she is on her outfit. Well, she's wearing a five-buttoned denim shorts matched with a grey cropped top and a converse. Is she going with us or a party elsewhere? I thought. "Ugh.. Ahm. Where are the others?" I tried to slipped out my eyes and mind from her sexiness.
"Waiting on the other side of the building, I guess. Transport service shall be there in 10 minutes, so let's go." She invited while she carried her Herschel backpack on her back and a sports bag with her two hands. I wondered how much clothing she wore everyday that she really has to bring two huge bags with her. "Did you bring your home with you?" I joked. She turned to me and smiled bitterly. "Just kidding." I hurriedly stated not to offend her.
Minutes later and we are all arguing on how are we going to make ourselves comfortable with only 2 buses. Well actually, it should be 3 but since there are only 2 buses arrived we need some adjustments. Good thing that some employees brought their cars including Sophia. I am about to hop on the bus when she asked me to just ride with her. I denied her request but then I realized that if I want my plans to work, I should probably get some time with her so I ended up riding at the back seat of her car with Mia on the passenger seat. I felt a little awkward with the situation but of course I won't let them feel it.
I caught her glancing at me through the rearview mirror several times. I felt conscious with the way she looks at me. "Stop staring and focus on the road." I exclaimed watching the road by my side. "You look cute." She instantly replied. I rolled my eyes in disbelief. What the heck is she doing? Trying to flirt with me in front of her secret girlfriend? Fuck it Sophia, I thought.
After a long ride, we've finally reached the venue. We are at the Long Island, New York. The place is incredible. The tall trees are swaying and dancing by the rhythm of the wind. The cold breeze brushed my skin and made me feel chilly instantly. A lake is overlooking from the hill where we are standing. I can see birds searching for its prey just above the clear blue water. The freshness of nature is relaxing. This place looks so much like the camp half-blood in a Percy Jackson Movie. All you need are the demigods and we're all set for a film, I thought. The view is too good to be true.
