Chapter 6

Joey's POV

"Jab! Jab!" Coach Alexis instructed at me while I punch. "My God, Joey! As far as I know this is not your first time boxing!" He shouted as I put my arms away from my face to give myself some time to listen to him. Here I am on my weekly boxing session. This my only way to get fit and stay in shape.

"How many times do I have to tell you to get your head in boxing! If you want to stay fit you do what I say! Okay!?" He said in a loud tone. I nodded as a response. "If you got problems give it a punch. Express yourself through your punches and trust me you'll feel better." He stated as if he knew I've got something on my head. I looked straight to his eyes and gave him a slight nod and a smirk.

He seemed content with my action. "That's my girl." He said looking back at my eyes.

"Jab, straight, jab" I threw him punches. "Good!" He commented. "Jab, straight, hook" He instructed and I threw punches again, as hard as I could. We repeated the basics several times and ended with advanced combos. I sweat a lot after 3 hours of boxing so I headed straight to the shower room and took a quick bath when I heard my phone rang from my bag. It's good that I placed my gym bag just outside the shower room, I reached for my phone. It was a Samsung S7, a high-end phone which is waterproof. I turned the shower off and answered the call.

"Hi." I greeted.

"Hey, Irvine! What's up? I called to remind you about later." It was Roma.

"Oh hey. Don't worry, I still remember about that. Thanks, anyway." I replied while I dry my head with a towel.

"Alright. I'll see you then." She said before she bid good bye.

Upon finishing dressing I hurried to the my car and went home to take some rest and recharge myself for later's event. Roma revealed that she'll take me to a bar near the city. I felt excited when she announced, I am not a party person, I go out to parties rarely. Most of the time I stayed home and review. Now that I've decided to have a new lifestyle, I might as well include partying to my list. I bet Sheena will love the idea because she'd been pushing me to go out, date someone and have a life because according to her dating is one of the keys to enjoy my life. She wants me to date someone I like, But even if I want to, I do not have that someone.

Times passed and I'm outside of my unit. The door opened before I could turn the knob and push it. Tanya went out and ran to the service elevator without even acknowledging my presence. I wondered why so I called her but she didn't look back. There must be something wrong so I entered the unit and look for Sheena. I found her sitting on the couch with her hands on her face.

"What the hell happened?" I asked putting my gym bag down on the floor.

"It's done." She said "I can't be with her even if I want to. You know what kind of life she has and I can't ruin it for my own happiness. I can't be a selfish bitch because I love her." she explained while crying.

"Look, Sheen. I can see that you love each other. Why not give it a try? After everything that has happened? She came back for you. She chose you over her career!" I exclaimed while walking towards her.

"Exactly my point! She can't choose me over her career. I can't stand seeing her losing her fame because of me. I know she loves modeling more than anything else. It's her life, J. I can't take it away from her. I can't take her life away for christ's sake!" Sheena stood up and locked herself on her room.

I felt disappointed to myself. I can't do anything for my best friend. I do not have any experience with love that's why I can't give her a good advise. The only thing I can do for her is to give her some time figuring things out. It pained me to see her and letting her be alone on this kind of struggles. If only I had some kind of experience then I would probably give her a good advise but I did not have any. So instead of bothering her I rested myself on the couch giving myself some time to relax before later's event. I didn't notice that I fell asleep while resting, thanked goodness I set my alarm. Once my alarm went off, I hurried to the bathroom and took a quick bath. I finished preparing even before I received a txt from Roma. She confirmed that she'll be picking me up. I resisted but she insisted so I gave up and let her pick me up. I gave her my address and I advised the security personnel that somebody will be coming to pick me up.
