CH. 18

Nova POV

I opened my eyes and was blinded by a bright white light 

"Ugh, that's bright" I said rubbing my eyes 

"Oh, your finally awake" I heard a voice say nearby to me 

"You've bee out for awhile, you feeling alright?" (Y/n) said while leaning on the wall 

"What happened to me? The last thing I remember is talking to Lisa and Rabbit and then" and I put my hand up to my head 

"Yeah, that's what they said, they were talking to you and you fell over on the ground" and he sat in the chair next to the bed I was in 

"Nova, do you want to know what's happened to you" he said and I nodded 

"Simple, like me, you got a more powerful and new form, passing out is a side effect but only happens once, there are more" he said and I noticed the bandages around my lower half 

"You look like you had some sort of fight, what was it?" and I felt my head hurt trying to remember what happened 

"All I remember was this guy fought me, and he had these weird hook weapons, and he had a picture of us and h-" and I fell back onto the bed holding my head. I started to scream in pain and (Y/n) put his hand on my stomach 

"Nova, this is one of the side effect's of these new forms, the headaches won't last long, but they will be the worst pain you will ever experience" he said in a rather calm tone. The pain eventually stopped and I laid on the bed breathing heavily 

"Were they that bad for you?" I asked him 

"No, mine were so much worse" he said and I saw that it was the middle of the night 

"How long was I out for?" 

"Three days, some of the doctors who gave you those bandages thought you were going to be in a coma for a very long time" he said and walked up to the window 

"Nova" he said looking out over the city 

"Yeah?" 

"If this ever happens again, tell me right away, don't let me find out like this again" and I looked into a mirror that was next to me. I saw my former red hair, now stained an dark black, and the red streaks glow every few seconds, and my scarlet red eyes that held the same fire that my old orange ones had.

(Y/n) POV

I was staring out the window while Nova took in everything I told her. Those headaches were the bane of my existence back when I had them. I then turned around and said 

"Nova, I'll be right down the hall if you need me" and right before I opened the door I heard her say 

"Wait" and I looked back at her and she was holding the blankets like a small frightened child who was scared of the lightning or thunder 

"What is it?" I said looking at her 

"Can you stay here, I don't want to be alone" and I walked back over to her bed 

"Sure" and I laid down next to her. She curled up into a little ball and I held her close. I could feel her start to cry and I rubbed her head and whispered in her ear 

"You'll be okay, little fire cracker"

Time skip

The next morning I left Nova in her room so she could get some rest. I was walking around the school when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I looked back and saw a kind of short man and he was wearing a cloak 

"Hello" he said in a raspy voice 

"What is it?" I said looking down at him 

"I want nothing to do with you, it is my mistress that has something to do with you" and he handed me a small purple rock. Out of the top was a purple mist that showed letters in it, ones of a language that hasn't been used in about 300 years, that I could fortunately read and it read:

I have sent my five demons after you and you have killed four, and capturing one, I am impressed, I didn't think an over grown lizard would be so powerful. If you truly think you can win, come and face me then.

Salem

When she called me an 'overgrown lizard' that really struck a nerve 

"Old man, I have a message for your mistress" I said gritting my teeth 

"What might it be?" 

"You" and I cut him in half the long ways with my claws 

"Priority mail" I said wiping my hand on his cloak. I then burned his remains and threw the rock in the garbage. I started to walk away from the small bon-fire I made, while some students that were either brave enough or stupid enough to stay here started to gather around it 'Only a matter of time till they notice a guy's inside that fire'. I thought and a few seconds later heard a few people scream and other's running away 'There it is' and I grew a small smirk. I eventually made it into the main courtyard and I noticed that staff and some student's were putting stuff up and hanging things in the trees 

"What's going on?" I asked one of the teachers 

"Were preparing for the three maiden's to arrive, the head master requested them here" and he walked off carrying one of the boxes 'The remaining three maiden's? Perfect' I thought while I lightly laughed to myself while some people looked at me like I was insane. But hey, they won't have to worry about that for long.
