I sat down at the table, right between Andy and Grace. Everyone was smiling widely at me -- not creepy at all. Careful, don't get the dripping sarcasm on you. Finally, Jinxx broke the silence, "How was life the past 3 months?"
I frowned, "Shitty. I missed you guys too much."
"AKA: Andy," Ash laughed.
"Well I didn't miss YOU at ALL, Ashley!" I stuck my tongue out at him as he feigned hurt. "I can't believe you, Isis! You didn't miss me?! I'm gonna go off in a corner and cry now." We all laughed, and soon, a waitress came to get our drink orders.
The guys got whisky, while Grace and Sammi got some fruity little drinks. The waitress finally looked at me, "And for you, Miss?" I quickly realized I couldn't drink anymore. Can't shoot a whisky, vodka, beer, fruity drinks, nothing. "Uh... Strawberry daquiri." My longtime favourite. I saw the look on Andy's face and knew he wasn't happy with my drink choice. "I'll be right back, guys," I headed toward the bathroom and texted Andy: "I'm gonna go ask the waitress to make it a virgin. I just didn't wanna clue everybody in." Instead of walking into the bathroom, I turned around when the others weren't looking and went up to the waitress. "Hey, can you make the daquiri virgin?"
She smiled, "Of course!"
"Thank you so much!" I walked back to the table, grateful for a nice waitress.
When I sat down again, Andy pulled me close and whispered, "Thank you."
I smiled and leaned into him, "So what did I miss when I was gone for so long?"
Jake spoke up, "Andy moping. Nothing more, nothing less.
"And Juliet kept her hands off, don't worry," Sammi calmed my fears.
"She even said she'd try to get you to come back if she knew you'd listen to her," Grace smiled.
"Wow...! I'm surprised! Still don't like her, but I respect her."
Andy pulled me onto his lap, "You had no need to worry. I could never settle for someone else, Angel." I was about to kiss him, when the waitress came back with our drinks. While setting mine down, she gave me a look that I knew meant she made it a virgin daquiri. I smiled as a thank you and took a sip.
Everyone picked up menus and Grace said, "Isis, try a sip of my drink; it's amazing!" I had to come up with an excuse. Fast! But I couldn't, "Uh, no thanks. I'm good, Gracie."
"Suit yourself," she shrugged and Sammi asked, "Can I have a sip of yours, Icie?"
"Sure," I didn't think; I was too focused on the burger I was gonna get. As Sammi reached for my glass, Ash said, "Why do girls feel the need to share drinks?"
"Dude, they share everything. Girls don't even go to the bathroom alone," CC laughed. That's when everything unravelled...
