Sadie's POV

A cold gush of wind came in as I tried to look through the door Annabeth had just opened. We all walked outside into the cold fresh snow. "Where are we?" I asked to nobody in particular.
Annabeth walked around through a mop of trees and motioned us to follow her. "Newark," she announced reading a green sign.
"And that is..." Jason said motioning to continue.
   "New Jersey," she stated.
"How are we going to get back?" Jason asked.
   "We walk,"
"But we don't even know the directions,"
There was a pause. "I could use my phone to get directions," I said.
"Wait... You had your phone this whole entire time?!" Annabeth asked.
"Yeah, me and Carter always have our phone around, why?"
"We could of used it to call for help!"
   "Oh."
There was a silence. "Well get on with it then," Annabeth said.
   "Okay, geez." I said.
I took it out and went to safari and searched up mapquest. Then, I entered Newark, New Jersey into the start and Manhattan, New York into the destination. Two routes came up. One that would take 30 minutes and one that would take 50 minutes. I glanced up and looked at the others. They were staring at me expectantly. "Here," I said handing Annabeth my phone.
She glanced at the direction we came from and took it. She scrolled down a bit and looked back up. She sighed. "Okay, supposedly its a 30 minute drive but it'll probably take longer for us."
"So..." Leo said. "What direction do we go?"
She scrolled down some more and clicked a few things then scrolled down some more. "This doesn't help," Annabeth said.
She clicked the home button and went to the compass app. She looked around and turned left. "We go..." She turned to the right. "That way,"
I sighed and started trudging through the snow. After a while, I started to become more aware of the blistering cold. A gust of wind blew the snow around. I shivered. Then, all of a sudden Annabeth stopped causing me to bump into Rachel. "What?" I asked.
No reply. Suddenly, I felt tired. I sighed and looked around. Everything looked grey as if there was nothing good in the world. The already cold temperature dropped even more. The wind blew harder as the previously soft pillow that was the snow turned hard as ice. I felt an urge to just give up and lay here and let the cold take over. I looked around and remembered about the others. Then, I thought about Walt. I couldn't let the cold be the end of me. I've beat Apophis before and I wasn't going to let some dumb little cold beat me. I looked around and noticed something in the sky. Long ghost like characters flew through the sky with long black flowy cloaks. I  watched one of them fly by and noticed a hand. It was like the hand of a skeleton except larger and thicker. I glanced at The rest. Annabeth was on the ground in a ball along with Jason and Leo. I had to do something, before it was too late. I touched Annabeth hoping that she would go immediately back to normal. I tried Leo, then Jason. I looked around to see what the others were doing. Piper was in a daze, her eyes were glassy and she was staring up into the dull blue sky. Carter was unconscious but still breathing. His lips were turning blue. I quickly gathered a couple of sticks and said, "A'max."
A blaze of fire appeared. I rolled Carter over towards the fire hoping it would help. I looked around for Rachel unable to find her. I started to set out when I remembered about Leo, Jason, and Annabeth. I looked at the forest then back at them. "Rachel's smart." I muttered trying to assure myself she'll be alright.
I ran towards Annabeth again and slipped on the ice. I got back up and skated towards them and kneeled down at the level Annabeth was at. I touched her, she was ice cold. Maybe if I warm her up. "Come on," I said.
There was no answer from her. "Okay then," I muttered.
I took a deep breath and pushed her all the way to the fire which was surprisingly hard even with the ice. I went to Leo and decided to set him on fire since he was probably at the same state that Annabeth was in. "A'max." I said.
Leo was on fire and made a slight sound that sounded like, "No, no, Mr. Banana,"
His eyes shot open. "Woah, what's going on?"
"I can't really explain,"  I said. "Just get Jason to a normal temperatures instead of an ice pop."
I went to check back on Annabeth.

Annabeth's POV

I was back on that stupid cliff holding onto Percy's hand. I looked into the depths of Percy's sea-green eyes. He looked back up at Nico. "-meet us at the other side," was the only thing I remembered as Percy let go and we free fell down.
I looked down and suddenly felt heat, then a gush of coldness. "Annie!" Sadie yelled as I came back to reality.
I scowled. "Don't call me that," I said getting up.
"Well, we have a problem," Sadie said.
   "What now?"
   "Rachel's missing."
I stared at her. "Well let's go!" I said.

...
Sorry for the terrible ending people. I've been rereading my story and wow, I forgot how bad I wrote. Honestly, I don't understand why you people read this. Anyway, I have a new writing schedule where I put a month working on only one story so this month is this story! Sorry for the long wait. Anyway bye!
