Chapter 9

Justin's P.O.V

The baby shower went smooth. People held Alayna and we opened gifts and played games.

When it was finally time for everyone to leave I was ready to pass out. Alayna got a whole ton of clothes and toys. I won't have to buy diapers for a while and I won't be able to get into any of my cabinets or toilets with all the baby proofing stuff we got.

Once everyone was gone I slumped down onto the couch next to my mom. She had Alayna and she was sleeping peacefully.

"You're going to spoil her rotten the entire time you're here aren't you?" I asked her.

My mom smiled and nodded and I rolled my eyes. That baby is going to be a spoiled rotten baby.

I stood up from the couch and decided to put away some of Alayna's stuff.

I took all the bags upstairs to her nursery that was finally finished. It turned out so cool. It was Kayla's idea to do a sea themed nursery.

*NEXT DAY**

I woke up with Alayna on my chest like normal. I sat up and took her to her room. She was still sleeping and I didn't want to wake her.

When Kayla walked out of her room she barely even glanced at me. She was still as beautiful as she was last time I saw her.

Same long, wavy dark hair. Same bright blue eyes. Same smile that lit up the room. She yawned and her nose crinkled making me grin.

She stretched making her tank top rise up a bit and I couldn't help staring at her body. Those shorts she wore made her legs look long and her butt look good. Damn. She looked up and I instantly looked away from her and closed Alayna's door.

"Good morning Justin." She smiled at me.

I smiled back and she patted me on the arm.

"Your mom said she wanted to spend the day with Alayna and the girls went out with the boys leaving us to have the day as we please." She smiled.

"How about we both get showered and dressed, I will get Alayna changed, fed and dressed and down with mom and we can go catch lunch and maybe do a bit of shopping." I said.

She rolled her eyes and propped herself against the wall.

"You know I hate it when you spend money on me." She scowled.

"Yeah, but somebody has to spend it." I smiled.

I turned on my heel and walked to my room to shower. Once I was done showering I got dressed.

I went to Alayna's room. She was awake and fussing. I carried her to the changing table and changed her diaper and then got her dressed.

I put a bow on her head and then took her downstairs to feed her. My mom took her from me as soon as I got down there so I decided to make a quick breakfast.

Kayla's P.O.V

I stepped out of shower and opened the door to my room. I was honestly excited for the day with Justin. He is such a great dad and he is still the same old Justin that was back in Minnesota.

I have been dying to tell Justin that I want to get back with him since I have saw him but he has been so tied up in Alayna.

I picked out my outfit and go dressed. Nothing too fancy, nothing too casual.

I did my makeup and hair and met Justin downstairs. He was setting his mom up with phone numbers to take out and a set of keys.

He showed her where all of Alayna's stuff was at and how to run the TV and all that other stuff. When he was done he looked at me and smiled. I grabbed keys off the hook and followed Justin into the garage. He got into the truck and I followed him.

I gave him the keys and he started the truck. He took me to a nice little diner in Manhattan Beach. It was a cute little country place that had good food, killer lemonade and a live band.

When we finished eating we went to the mall. I didn't want him buying me anything but whatever I said that I thought was cute or cool or that I liked he'd take it and buy it.

Eventually we left and went to Walmart and he picked up stuff for around the house and bought new movies and whatever and then we went to Hy-Vee and got groceries. It was around 3 or 4 by the time we got back to the house.

(Omg such a parent way to spend time together. Lol. Get groceries and stuff for the house)

Justin's mom had Alayna down for a nap and was gonna nap herself. Everyone else was home and we were all chilling in the kitchen.

"We should go out tonight." Brooke said.

Danny nodded in agreement and plastered a sloppy kiss on her cheek.

"There is a new club down the street opening tonight. We should go."

Everybody agreed and headed separate ways to get ready. I headed for the shower since I sweated all day today. Maybe tonight will be fun.
