PROLOGUE
Eric Donovan was your average kid in the neighbourhood. He wore a black frame glasses and hated fashion. It made him looked ordinary and nerd. Eric was quite done with the image when he got rejected for the first time by his best friend, Annie Carol in high school.
That's when Eric started to change. He started styling his hair. He also changed the way he dressed. He became the coolest guy in school. Eric started dating girls. He went from dating the most gorgeous-looking girl in school to international models. Eric also engaged in long distance relationships. Girls somehow had become like partners with contract. But as soon as their "purpose "was no longer served, he would ditch them and move on.
This lasted for fourteen years and by now, you can call him a playboy or a Casanova. He was also very successful in his career. After eight years working in the Finance industry, Eric rose to become the Finance Director of SH. He had a posh car and owned a luxurious apartment situated in the city.
And his mother, Esther, was getting impatient with him. She started putting up posters and advertisement in search for the Donovan's future daughter-in-law. And it seemed not going well.
"Please help him." Esther let out a sigh as she finished telling the story about Eric Donovan.
I shook my head in despair, frowned at the difficult case that just landed in my hands. Eyes gazed up at Esther, "Madam, you should know it's close to impossible."
I am Jane Aston, a matchmaker of my own established company. Esther was my first difficult customer that I ever encountered. Not only did she want to find a partner for Eric Donovan, but she wanted Eric to get married in three months' time to close the deal.
Girls are more than willing to marry him. But this Casanova doesn't like the idea of settling down.
That's how I decided to conduct an investigation on my client - Eric Donovan.
